Prologue
Have you ever known someone who doesn’t listen to a word you say, even though you’re their best friend trying to keep them safe? Unfortunately, I do. It is tearing our friendship apart. The situation is getting worse every time they don’t listen. The problem is so deep; it is so complicated to see the upside of it. Let me tell you, being a best friend isn’t so easy. You have to be there for the other person through thick and thin, which is where this is becoming a problem.
My name is Crystal Woods. I am in the 8th grade, with my best friend, Angel Crawford. Angel and I have been best friends since 5th grade. I’m the girl who has not too many friends or enemies. Angel on the other hand, likes to make enemies and put herself down. I honestly don’t understand. I have noticed many changes since I met Angel. She used to be a goody two shoes girl, like her name.
First she started wearing makeup in the sixth grade. In seventh grade, she supposedly got cuts on her wrists by her dog. She thinks everything should go her way, which really makes me mad. I haven’t changed any whatsoever since then, but I guess we can’t all be the same. Unlike me, her parents spoil her rotten. She doesn’t think so, but I think she has the perfect life. She has both of her real parents, she doesn’t have to work, she gets whatever she wants whenever she wants, and the worst part is, she isn’t grateful for one bit of it.
I have an average life, not too great, not too bad. It is pretty good for the most part. My parents are divorced, so I alternate my visits every other weekend. The worst part is, both my parents are dating horrible people. I work for everything I get, and I am grateful for all of it. Half the time I work I don’t get anything in return. Well guess what, that’s life.
Angel has this little problem with the internet. I’ve never had this problem with myself but in this whole situation, it revolves around boys. All she wants to do is talk to them and date them, even though she doesn’t see any of them in real life. When she does see them in real life, it’s a whole different world. She comes crying to me every time she gets her “heart broken”. Every time she goes through a break up, she cries over a person she doesn’t know. I have talked to her plenty of times about it, but she’s in her own little world that only revolves around her.
[*Hello readers! I created this story to relate to some real life experiences and thought I could share them off with the Wattpad world! :) This is my first story so sorry if it has any bad grammar or any mistakes! Well, or if it sucks! :)*]
