"but dad!" i groaned as my father had explained everything to me.

"olivia, this is what's best for you," dad had repeated for the umpteenth time.

"i understand that, but what i don't understand is why i have to go to new york and i have to change my full lifestyle just for one simple task."

dad didn't reply to my tiny tantrum i was throwing. i loved him dearly, because my mother had walked out on us when i was seven and i faintly remember her and how broken my dad was, and he was so strong.

"it isn't a task, olivia," dad finally sighed.

"what is it then?" i grunted.

"it's for your own good; i know that you have been getting into a lot of trouble here lately, and going to new york to spend time with this family will be good for you. i don't want to hear another word of this."

"but dad, what're you going to do while I'm gone?" i asked, looking at my dad with a distraught look plastered on my face.

"i will be continuing my business, going to the office and keeping everything together. don't worry about me, liv."

"fine," i sighed. "when do i leave?"

"in a week; so, you should get to packing." dad pressed his lips against my forehead, and walked into another room of our house.

one week: i will no longer be a citizen of nevada.

one week: i will no longer be the same person i am now.

one week: i will no longer have my best friend for a while.

                              ...

aha, i have started a new story.

this idea randomly popped up and i have already had the cover made for it.

please vote & comment bc i absolutely love feedback
