Chapter 12: Daycare

Kian's POV
Today is the Quads' first day of daycare and I'm slightly nervous. They're social at the park and stuff, but I'm just worried about the separation. I think they'll do fine though.
I got up at around 7:30 and took a shower. I put on a navy blue pocket tee, dark skinny jeans, and navy blue Vans. I did my hair and brushed my teeth.
I went into the boys' room and woke them up. James and Justin were a little cranky.
I dressed Justin in a blue muscle tank, black shorts, and blue Converse.
I put James in a green muscle tank, plaid green and black shorts, and green Converse.
I put Jesse in a black muscle tank, khaki shorts, and black Converse.
I put Johnny in a red muscle tank, plaid red and black shorts, and red Converse.
I did their hair and brushed their teeth. We went downstairs and I gave them some waffles and fruit. I made their lunch and put it in their bags.
"Daddy, where we goin?" Jesse asked.
"You guys are gonna go to daycare while Daddy takes care of some errands." I said.
"What's daycare?" Justin asked.
"It's a place we're there's a lot of kids and toys. You play there while Daddy works." I said.
Their smiles dropped. They looked scared.
"Don't worry guys. You'll be fine." I said.
Jc came down and helped me get the kids into the car. JJ stayed home with Jess.
We got in the front and drove to the day care. There were a lot of kids and parents walking in.
"Daddy, I don't wanna go..." James said.
"You guys will be fine. It's gonna be fun, I promise." I said, unbuckling them.
I held Johnny and Jesse's hands and Jc held James and Justin's hands. As we got closer, the boys resisted.
"I'm sowy Daddy! Whatever I did, I'm sowy!" Jesse said, hiding behind my leg.
"What do you mean?" I said.
"Don't take us back Daddy!" Johnny said and started crying.
"We'll be good! We won't fight anymore!" James said, crying too.
"We wanna be wit you!" Justin cried. Oh no...they think they're going to another orphanage...
"Boys, I'm not giving you away. I'd never do that. This is just a place for you guys to play while I work. After you play, I come pick you up." I said.
"Pwomise?" They said in unison.
"Promise. I'd never leave you guys. I love you more than anything." I said.
They smiled and loosened up.
We walked inside and it was a toddler's paradise. A ball pit with a slide, action figures, puzzles, cars, planes, trucks, trains, rubber balls. Anything a 2 year old could ask for.
"This pwace is awesome!" Justin said with a smile.
"Hello, welcome to Meadow Ridge Daycare. I am Ms. Lilly. You boys must be the Lawley kids." A lady about 30 years old, blonde hair, and green eyes said.
"Yes Ma'am. Justin, James, Jesse, and Johnny." I said.
"Welcome boys. I think you'll have a lot of fun here." She said.
She gathered all the parents and took us on a tour. Bathrooms, Cafeteria, Nap rooms, and Playground.
"Alright, playtime. Any parents are welcome to stay until needed." Ms. Lily said.
"You boys still need me?" I asked.
"No." Justin, Jesse, and James said.
"I need you..." Johnny said, looking up at me with his big green eyes.
"It's okay buddy. I'll be back. Try to make some friends. Can you be a big boy for me?" I asked.
He sniffed and nodded.
"That's my boy. I'll be back." I said, kissing the top of their heads.
Jc and I got back in the car and drove home.
Johnny's POV
When Daddy left, I was scared.
James and Justin ran off and played with some kids and Jesse started talking to a girl.
I didn't like being alone...But I'm gonna be a big boy.
I saw a guy come in with a girl and she looked scared. When the guy left, she looked even more scared.
I started walking to her.
"Hey, it's okay." I said.
She turned around and I saw her crying.
"I'm scared too...What's your name?" I said with a little smile.
"I'm Bwi..." she said quietly.
"I'm Johnny." I said.
She smiled.
"Wanna go play?" I asked.
She nodded and I held my hand out to her. Her cheeks got red and she took it. We walked to the puzzles and started playing.
She's really pretty. And funny. I think we're friends now.
James' POV
Justin and I saw two boys playing with some dinos, so we decided to play with them.
"Hi, I'm James. And that's my broter Justin. Can we pway?" I asked.
They smiled and nodded.
"I'm Luke." One said.
"I'm Aaden" the other said.
We started playing and found out they all like SpongeBob too. We were laughing and having fun.
Jesse's POV
I started playing with a rubber ball, when I saw a girl being mean to another girl. She was really pretty, but looked scared.
"Dats my toy! You're too ugwy to pway wit it!" The mean girl shouted in her face.
She started crying as she snatched the doll she had in her hand.
I got mad. No one should be mean to such a pretty girl.
"Hey! Weave her awone!" I said, walking to them.
"She's too ugwy to pway wit my toys!" The mean girl shouted.
"Weave her awone. You're the ugwy one!" I said.
She stuck her tongue out at me and ran off.
"Hey, are you okay?" I asked, sitting next to the pretty girl.
She nodded, sniffling. I wiped away her tears with my hand and she smiled.
"I'm Jesse." I said with a smile.
"I'm Audwey." She said with a smile, looking up at me.
I stood up and took her hand, helping her up.
"Don't wisten to dat meanie. You aren't ugwy. I dink you're pwetty." I said.
Her cheeks got red and smiled.
"Wanna pway?" I asked.
She nodded and we held hands again. We walked to the stuffed animals and started playing together.
