Kian's POV
This has to be a fucking dream...Jesse, James, amd Johnny are in the hospital...and the doctors aren't sure if any of them are gonna make it...
Jesse's leukemia is acting up and it's getting harder to treat it. His tumor has spread too. There's one on his stomach, one on his lung, and one on his heart...
James just lost a lot of blood from the shark attack, and he might need donated blood just to stay alive. His wounds are pretty bad...
Johnny is in a coma...He has 2 broken arms, a shattered leg, 3 broken ribs, a fractured skull, and a broken collarbone. It's too much for a little kid his size...
I've been super protective of Justin. I haven't let him outside much in fear of him getting hurt. It's too much to bear with 3 of my boys in the hospital...I don't know what I'd do if something happened to Justin.
~~~~~~~~
I woke and it was late morning. Everyone's been waking up late as of lately.
I got out of bed and took a shower. I put on a white t-shirt and black sweatpants, not caring much what I wore.
I went downstairs and as usual, Jc was giving Niki her bottle.
"Hey Kian." He said.
"Hey, how's the little princess?" I asked with a small smile.
"She's good, just hungry." He said with a light chuckle.
I went into the kitchen and started making eggs and toast for everyone. After a while, everyone was awake.
"Daddy..."
I looked to the side and Justin was looking up at me, his arms open.
He's been wanting to be held a lot lately and won't let me leave his sight. Not like I want out of my sight either...
I picked him up and he latched onto me like a koala. I finished making the food and we sat down to eat. Justin didn't want to eat; He hasn't wanted to eat much of anything lately. I got him to eat a banana, but that was it.
Everyone went about their day and I ended up at home alone with Justin. I was watching TV and doing laundry, when Justin came downstairs with Johnny's soccer ball, James' stuffed Nemo, and Jesse's favorite Batman action figure in his hands.
"Hey bubs, whatcha got there?" I asked.
He sniffled and I realized he had tears in his eyes.
"I-I miss Jesse...And James...And Johnny...I want them back Daddy...I want my brothers back..." He said, and began to cry.
I picked him up and sat down.
"I know you miss them Bubs...I want them back home too...But they're too sick..." I said, starting to cry myself.
"Why won't they get better Daddy?" He asked, crying harder.
"I don't know buddy...But they will, I promise. And everything will be back to normal..." I said.
We just sat there in each other's embrace for a while, but then I decided to cheer him up.
"Hey...how bout we go outside and kick around the ball? Just for fun." I said.
He sniffled and nodded with a small smile.
We went outside and just started running around and kicking the ball. Justin was all giggles and smiles.
Then suddenly, he stopped.
"Hey, what's wrong?" I asked.
He put his hand on his chest and collapsed to the floor.
"Justin!" I said.
I ran to him and he was out. I ran inside and called 911. The ambulance was here in 2 minutes.
"Looks like a heart attack due to overworking...Heart and Breathing rate is very slow and uneven." A paramedic said.
They put an oxygen mask on him and rushed us to the hospital. It took everything I had to not break down into tears.
We arrived at the hospital and they took him away for further examination. I sat in his hospital room and just cried, letting it all out.
All my boys...Why...
5 Hours Later
I called everyone and they were all scared. They wanted to come over, but I said I needed to be alone. They all understood and agreed.
The doctors finally brought Justin back into the room, but he wasn't awake.
"Mr. Lawley...Justin seems to have a very bad heart. It's, for some reason, just now starting to affect him. He...He's in a coma..." The Doctor said.
I froze.
"I-Is he gonna be okay?" I asked.
"Not unless he receives a heart transplant in at least 2 months...From my calculations, that's the longest his heart will keep him alive..." he said.
I nodded and he left.
I looked down at Justin, who was completely pale. He was hooked up to a bunch of machines and his breathing and heart rates were so uneven.
"It's okay Justin...We're gonna be okay..." I said, starting to cry again.
I'm not sure anymore...What if they don't survive?...
