Ch. 4 - YouTube

Kian's POV
"Daddy! Daddy!"
I woke up and realized it was James.
I got out of bed and went to his bedroom.
He was sitting in his crib, rubbing his eyes and sucking on his pacifier.
"Hey buddy." I said with a smile.
He giggled and held his arms up to me. I picked him up and he ran to the bathroom. He came out a few minutes later.
I set him on my hip and carried him downstairs. No one was awake yet, maybe because it was only 8:45am.
I set James in his high chair and gave him some cereal. I gave him a sippy cup with orange juice and a few apple slices.
I wanted everyone to meet James, so I invited Ricky, Connor, Trevor, Sam, Dom, Andrea (they never dated in this story), and Jenn over for dinner tonight.
I was also going to make a YouTube video with James. It was gonna be a Q&A.
After James ate, I gave him his pacifier and let him watch some TV. I cleaned up the kitchen and by then, both guys were awake.
"I invite a bunch of people over for dinner tonight so they can meet James." I said.
They were both okay with it, so I needed to get some stuff.
I took James upstairs and put him in a green, black, and grey tank top, black shorts, and black converse. I brushed his teeth and did his hair.
I had JJ watch him so I could get ready.
I went upstairs and put on a black v-neck, dark jeans, and black converse. I brushed my teeth, did my hair, and sprayed on some cologne.
I grabbed James' baby bag and went downstairs. JJ was playing with some blocks with James.
"We'll be back in like an hour. I might take him to the park for a little bit." I said, picking him up.
"Okay." they both said.
I went outside and buckled James in his car seat. I got better at it, but I still took me a few minutes.
I got in the front and drove to Target. I put James in the cart and got some food for tonight and some more clothes for James.
I checked out and put everything in the trunk. I buckled James back in and drove to the park. It wasn't very crowded, which was good.
I unbuckled him and carried him to the playground. He got happy and immediately ran to the swings. I smiled and lifted him into one of the baby swings. I pushed him in it for a while and then took him on the slides.
When it was time to go, I put him back in his car seat and drove home.
I carried everything inside and we started getting ready for the dinner party.
JJ cleaned the house, I made the food, and Jc kept James busy.
Once everything was done, I was going to make the YouTube video. I set everything up in my room and started the camera.

K-Hey what's up you guys? It's Kian. And this week...I have someone to introduce to you. No, it's not a girlfriend. I'm still single but, I do have someone new in my life.
*picks up James and put him in his lap*
K- This is my adoptive son, James. Can you say hi?
J- *giggles and waves* Hi!
K- He's 2 and pretty cute if you ask me. Today we'll be doing a Q&A about James so you can get to know him a little better.
*pulls out phone*
K- First question: When is your birthday? His birthday is May 15th.
K- Next question: What is your biggest fear? Um, on his profile it said he's scared of monsters, the dark, and lightning so I try to keep him away from that kind of stuff.
K- Question #3: What is your favorite food?
J- Cwookies (cookies)!
K- *laughs* Question #4: Who are you closest to? Well, considering I only adopted him yesterday, I would say me. He's pretty good with Jc and JJ though.
J- Daddy! Ucle JJ! Ucle Jc!
K- He likes repeating names *laughs* Question #5: Favorite movie/ TV show? He loves Finding Nemo and Spongebob.
J- BongeBob (Spongebob)!!!
K-*laughs* Question #6: Favorite Color?
J- Boo!
K- I'm guessing blue *laughs*. Well, that's all the questions I have today. I hope you guys liked this surprise. Welcome James to the family by giving this video a big thumbs up! I will see you guys next Saturday! Bye!

"Again!" James giggled.
"I'm glad you like making videos because we will be making a lot of them." I said.
He giggled and smiled.
"Let's go get you ready. Everyone will be here soon." I said, picking him up.
I had Jc help me give James a bath, which was just as hard as yesterday: The floor was soaked, as well as both of our clothes, but James was clean.
Jc cleaned up the water while I put some clothes on James.
I put him in a black and white button-up khaki shorts, black vans, and a black and white pacifier. I put him down for a quick nap so I could get ready.
I showered and put on a blue and black button-up, dark jeans, and black converse. I did my hair and made sure everything was ready.
At around 6, everyone came.
"Where is he?" Jenn asked.
"Sleeping. I'll go get him." I said.
I went upstairs and into his room. He was half asleep, rubbing his eyes and slowly sitting up.
"Hey buddy. I got some people for you to meet."
I picked him up and carried him to the bathroom. I did his hair and carried him downstairs. Everyone turned around.
"Aw he's adorable!" Ricky said.
"His eyes are so green!" Jack said.
"He's so little!" Andrea said with a smile.
"He's too cute." Jenn said.
Everyone got loud, and James started crying. He hid his face in my shoulder and clung to me like a koala.
"Shhh. It's okay James." I whispered, rubbing his back.
"Let me hold him." Dom said.
I was hesitant, mainly because Dom tends to drop a lot of stuff, but handed James over. James was whining, but immediately stopped once he was in Dom's arms. He stopped crying and put his head on his shoulder.
"I think he likes you." I laughed.
"No fair!" everyone else said, making us all laugh.
"James, this is your Uncle Dom, Uncle Ricky, Uncle Connor, Uncle Sam, Uncle Trevor, Auntie Jenn, and Auntie Andrea." I said.
James pulled his pacifier out of his mouth.
"Dom. Rick. Con. Sam. Tev. Jenn. Drea." he said, and put his pacifier back in.
"Oh my God! He's too cute!" Andrea said.
After talking for a bit, we sat down and ate. Of course, James got pizza sauce all over his face, hands, and his shirt. I cleaned him off and everyone went into the living room to watch movies.
James opened up a little more and was giggling non-stop. Besides Dom, James grew really close to Connor and Jenn. He was happy around everyone though.
At around 8, James started getting a little whiny, which meant bedtime.
"I think it's time for the little monster to get some sleep." I said, picking up a a sleepy James.
I carried him upstairs and changed him into his blue and white pajama onesie since it was a little cold. I brushed his teeth.
JJ brought up his sippy cup with milk and I put James in his crib. I gave him his cup and he slowly drank it. He was fast asleep in a matter of seconds.
I went back downstairs and sat down with everyone.
"You're really good with him Kian. I'm surprised." Ricky said.
"He's a pretty easy kid. Just the baths and veggie-eating that are the hardest. It'll probably get harder." I said.
"I think you're doing really good considering you are only 19 and knew almost nothing about kids." Jenn said.
I smiled, feeling proud. We talked and laughed the rest of the night.
