Chapter Fourteen : Flashbacks

Death was the first thing that came into my mind. Aaron was bleeding. Blood were scattered on the rough and dirty floor. It was a hit and run. The car already ran off somewhere.

I ran towards him. My tears won't stop flowing. I went closer to him, holding him in my arms. I don't care if there are stains of blood in my clothes. This can't be happening.

Where the fudge did that car came from? I thought that park was only exclusive for bikes. Why did it suddenly enter here? Why Aaron? Why him?

Thankfully a man who saw the accident called the ambulance. I was still holding him as the ambulance arrived.

"I'm sorry ma'am but you can't come," the man in a hospital uniform said.

"I have too! I'm his... I'm his.." What am I to him? "I'm his.. Fiancé! I've been with him for 4 years already, please tell me to go with you. I'll die if I won't be him going to the hospital," I exaggerated.

"But ma'am--"

"Please! We're planning to get married soon and I'm pregnant with his kid! I can't live with out him" I sobbed. I just need to be with him going to the hospital. I need to lie.

"Fiancé? Okay. Get in," another man said. I went in the ambulance. I was holding his hand and praying that everything will be okay.

We arrived the hospital and he was rushed to the emergency room. Even though how badly I want to go with him, I have to wait here outside.

"Elle!" I see Casey running towards me.

"Casey!" I hugged her as I sobbed at her little shoulder. "Casey..."

"Azrielle, honey." I looked up and saw Mrs. Roberts with my mom with her. I stood up and hugged the both at them at the same time

I cried even harder. "I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I haven't done anything to save him."

Mrs. Roberts soothed my back, "It's okay as long you we're with him here. It's okay."

I felt Casey tugged my shirt "Elle.. Will my brother be okay?"

I lowered down myself until we were eye to eye. "I don't know Case. I don't know."

She started to cry with me.

The doctor came out of the emergency room. Our head looked up as he headed toward us. Aaron's family is here and also mine. "So how is he doctor? Is he fine? Did he break anything? Did he survive the operation? Where is he now?" I stood up asking him all the questions that was swirling in my head,

He shook his head. I'm telling you that doesn't look like a good sign. "Please.. Please don't tell me his.." I whispered.

Hie eyes open in shock. "Oh! Oh no!" I sighed in relief  "He survived the operation. He broke his arm. He has a fractured hairline. and had a few bruises. It's a good thing he wore a helmet. He's at room 506 at the fifth floor. You may proceed there in a few minutes. The nurse will inform you when you can enter the room."

I looked at them, more specifically to Mrs. Roberts. I hugged her tight. Casey hugged my legs, while she sobbed a little. I guess she heard that her brother is fine.

"So you're the fiancé of Mr. Aaron Roberts?" I nodded my head to the doctor. "Hm.. You're pretty. A cute couple if you ask me. Well good luck with your marriage and your little baby there." He pointed at my tummy. He left us there.
