Chapter Two : Text Message

C h a p t e r T w o :

Did I hear him right?

"Gosh Pete... Lying isn't good, you know?" I chuckled.

"I'm not joking Azilla," he sat beside me on my bed. He had a worried face, maybe it's bacause of the news. "I promise you I won't let him hurt you again."

Pete hated Aaron. Pete didn't really like seeing me cry. After my break up with Aaron, I cried for almost a week. But what made Pete hated Aaron the most is that after the break-up, Aaron just replaced me immediately with some Barbie / Bratz girl.

Our break-up wasnt even clear. I have no idea why he broke up with me in the first place. He didn't tell me the real reason why. I have some guesses though; First, he find me boring already. Second, he got attracted when he met Ms. Barbie / Bratz girl. Which ever it is, it still made my heart broken.

"I promise you that," he hugged me like our hug earlier, but this was more gentle and caring. This is one of the reason why I love my bro so much.

"Don't worry. I'm over it!" I said with a smile.  I realized he hugged me "Awww... little Petey is hugging me! You're not afraid to get infected by my Azilla cooties?" I said in a baby voice, teasing him.

"Shut up!" He seperated from the hug and ran towards the door. "I'll be going now! Night!"

"Night Petey!"

I stared out the window, admiring the starts that covered the black sky. I suddenly thought of Aaron. I wonder how he is. Is he still the same? Is he still my 'Partner in Crime"? Or does he still have feelings for me? Wait. Shut up Azrielle! Of course he doesn't have feelings for me anymore, that's why he broke up with you. He broke up with you coz' everything is over. Right?

"Have you thought for an outfit that you'll be wearing tonight?"

Here again is Lynn, meddling with my love life. She's a perfectionist. If she sees a tiny mistake, she'll re-do the whole thing. But being a perfectionist does have an advantage.

"Nope,"

"Nope?! You're date is tonight! You should have thought of something already! If I we're you, I already picked out an outfit the day he asked me to go out with him." See what I mean. She just love meddling. Did I mention she's like my mom? Well, she is!

"Well maybe a pair of jeans and a shirt would be fine." I said calmly. It's not like me and Dylan are exclusive. But maybe one day we will, I grinned at that thought.

"Are you serious? No, you are NOT going to wear that. I'll pick an outfit for you and I won't take no for an answer." She said in a motherly voice

I rolled my eyes, "Fine."

"Hey Azy," a man from my back said. I looked at my back, and by surprise it's Dylan.

"Hey!" I said in a cheery voice. When I looked at him, his face looked disappointed and sad.

"Is there something wrong?" I asked him with concern.

"About tonight..." He said slowly "Can we move the date?"

I just looked at him. and tilted my head to the side. I was processing what he said in my head,

"There's an ememrgency, and I really have to be there. I promise that we'll go another time. Maybe next week Friday? If it's okay? I'm really sorry."

I felt a little disappointment there. I was even excited for it.

"It's fine Dylan," I smiled, hiding the disappointment I have.
