I can feel the heart beating of whoever is by my side. I opened my eyes and tried to turn to see but that person just hugged me tighter.
I looked around, there's Rita, still driving while singing, Jourdan's fast asleep, as always, but then there's that bitch by her side. So this only leaves the fact that Cara here is the one cuddling me.
But I feel somewhat strange; I slept like a baby without the help of my meds. After 'her', I can't really get some sleep, so my doctor prescribed me to take some sleeping pills to help me sleep peacefully at night.
After 'her', this is the first time I feel safe with somebody else again. And it is strange because I don't even know Cara but I don't know why my body has felt this safety or comfortableness around her.
I admit that yes, I am attracted to her, but I don't want it to be more than how I loved 'her'. I promised 'her' she will always be the only one I'll love.
I don't think my heart can ever have that capacity or strength to love again. I think it's gonna break any second I start loving again.
I close my eyes and think of the last memory I had with 'her'.
"Babe, it's time for you to take your meds." I said to her while she's sitting on her rocking chair.
We're at this isolated island owned by her father. They have a really big house here. Her father is a developer, so that's not really a question as to why they have this huge house facing the beach in an isolated island.
Gigi was sitting at her rocking chair at the veranda, maybe sleeping or looking at how beautiful and calm the sea is.
I tap her on the shoulder and she looked at me, with tears I n her eyes, but she's smiling, and said,
"No need babe, I know it's my time."
"No! It's not your fucking time babe!" I said hugging her tight.
She just shakes her head and holds me.
Gigi's been diagnosed with stage 3 cancer after our 1st anniversary, what a great fucking gift it was right?
We've seen so many doctors, so many experts, but they all said that it is already late to do any surgery since the cancer has already spread.
That night I hold Gigi closer to me, afraid to sleep because what if I wake up that morning and she's not there, that she's not breathing anymore.

.
.
I could feel a kiss on my forehead, and then someone whispers,
"Goodbye and I love you, Kendall."
Then I felt the cool air touches my cheek, I know someone opened the door to the veranda.
I rub my eyes and look at the white curtains dancing with blow of the wind.
That's when I saw Gigi, holding the bar of the veranda overlooking the sea when she slowly fell down.
I hurriedly jumped out of bed and hugged her.
"Gigi, baby! Baby! Baby!" I cried, kissing her forehead, but got no response.
She doesn't move nor respond.
That's when I knew, she's already . . . gone. . . . . .
Cara's POV
I hug Kendall closer to me when she started to move. I want her here.
