Olivia stared at him. She was was frightened about what this proposition might contain, however was curious still.
"As you know," His tone went so dead serious, Olivia felt intimidated, "your case is irreversible: incurable. So on behalf of the entire Government, we would like to extend a special offer. You become our personal assassin, protecting us from the revolution that is soon to ignite. In return, we shall not execute you, until further notice. Please understand this is a constitutional  agreement, and if, in any way, you threaten the existence of any of the workers in this faculty you will be put to death immediately. I will give you a minute to interpret this information, and assess your options."
Olivia sat there in silence. She had been hopeful. She had thought that maybe there was hope. Maybe she could be cured. Maybe normality would be granted. No such luck. She was intrigued as to how the scientists couldn't detect the problem; couldn't detect what had gone wrong.
And now she was doomed to a life of labour and murder. She had breached the part of her life where she was forced to make a decision: to end her existence, or to let it drag on.
