Last night, I stayed up in bed just thinking of Leila. Something about Leila was just so magical, so upbringing. I don't think people realise just how lucky you can get with a person. It came to me that, I didn't care if I struggled with school – just as long as I had Leila. As long as we were together everything with come about right.
And, in my heart (which is probably the most feminine thing I have ever said), I know Leila and I were meant to be because I have never loved anyone so much. Our relationship has gone so quickly but maybe that's not a bad thing. Everyone is different, I guess.
So – I've come to a conclusion. If Leila and I can't be together because of school then I'll move school to be with her for our last year. That's what I'm about to tell Leila. I've done some late notice phone calls and it turns out my wealth is sometimes a good way to get into things. Apparently 'someone with riches' is always welcome, according to the principle.
I run up to the hill with the forms in my hand and sigh. Leila wasn't here. I tried hard to persuade my father and chatter to the school and now it was probably all for nothing. My fingers fumbled for my car keys and I began to walk down, heartbroken, when I heard a soft voice call.
"Wait, Chase!"
I turn around. "Lei."
She sprints up to me and jumps into my arms. I spin her around, mumbling some form of apology into her neck just to be saying something. "I feel terrible about last night." Leila starts.
"Me too; so I did something that will save us." I wave the piece of paper in front of Leila's face happily. She snatches it from my grasp and instantly her jaw drops with shock. "You didn't." she declares, gobsmacked. "You didn't!"
"Oh," I pause, smirking. "I did."
"Chase!" Leila jeers, kissing me for a few moments – sparking the matches in my stomach again. "Thank you so much."
I shake my head. "It's nothing. Well, actually – it's kind of everything. We can spend our last year of school together Leila; me and you against the world, just battling and overcoming our problems together."
"You know what this means?" Leila asks. "Apart from the whole we-can-be-together fiasco – this means you can help me with my maths homework."
I laugh, throwing my head back with glee. "You're such a cruiser, Leila Clarke."
"I know." she innocently replies, smiling.
I grin like an idiot. "How about we go out tomorrow for food?"
"Like a date?"
"Exactly like a date. It's weird thinking that even though we've been together for a month; we've never been on a proper date."
"Yeah, I know. Okay; we can meet here at...- "Seven."
"Okay, bye Hunter."
"Forever and always, Leila." I say, turning around.
