'Chase Cavanaugh

1998-2015

The colour in the rainbow'

She sat, crossed legged before Chase's grave on the hill where his parents decided to bury him after a beg from the grown up girl who will always love her boyfriend. The girl was now a grief therapist for children and teens, and for the first time she was happy with her life since Chase.

"Can I go play with the people next door?" the girl's son asks, pointing to the care home that was still open. They often visited from their home in their home outside of town.

"Yeah, Hunter." she replies, sending a smile full of love for her little four year old boy. She adopted him when he was just a few weeks old, still nameless. She named him after Chase by using the name Hunter.

The girl loved her son just as much as she loves Chase, and although not the biological parents to little Hunter, she often told him that if Chase was here, he'd be his daddy. So every day they venture to the hill to say hi to daddy, by Hunter's request. The girl, an adult in her twenties now, was happy to oblige to Hunter's wishes.

"Bye for today, Chase." she grins, kissing his headstone. "Thanks for today's little Galaxy Meeting." she looked up at the stars that shone brightly before making her way down the hill, for the last time until tomorrow.
