Chapter 7

Zariah and I took our baths and shower and did our daily hygiene.

As we walked down the stairs I seen Vontae, T.k and Chris sleep on the couches. I looked at my phone and seen that it was 2 in the afternoon so I bent down to Zariah and said "Be as loud as you want"

"But there sleeping" she said shushing me

"That's okay baby girl" I said laughing at her

I sat her down and turned on cartoons for her then I walked into the kitchen.

"Mommmaa!" She yelled from the living room

"Yes" I yelled back

"Never mind" she shouted

"Mommmy!" She yelled

"Yes" I yelled back

"There awake!"

I walked into the living room laughing at her "Bout time" I said

It was a hour or two later and me and Zariah where the only ones home. "Mommy stop it" Zariah screamed while laughing

"Say I love mommy and then ill stop" I said still tickling her

"okaay..okaay I love my mommy" she said laughing still

I stopped tickling her and gave her a kiss on the cheek. "Mommy I really do love you" she said sitting on my lap. "I love you more Riah" I said pulling her into a hug.

Then there was a knock on the door. Me and Zariah both got up and walked to the door. "Who is it" She said making her voice deep. "Vontae" he said laughing from the other side of the door.

I opened the door just a little so he couldn't walk in "Do you need something" I asked

"Yes i need to use the bathroom let me in" He said trying to open the door wider

I stopped it with my foot "There's a store right around the corner"

"Nakiyah stop playing with me" he said

I opened the door and locked it behind him. "Y'all be ready by the time I get out the bathroom" Vontae said walking to the bathroom

"Who the fuck daddy he think he is" I mumbled under my breath

"What you say about daddy" he yelled from down the hallway

"I said daddy look good today"

"No you didn't you said..." Zariah started to say but I covered her mouth

I grabbed my phone and purse then I put Zariah's sandals on.

"You ready" Vontae said walking out the bathroom

"Yeah" I said grabbing Zariah car seat

I locked the door and walked to the car. I buckled Riah in her seat and then I got in.

"Where we going" I asked

"To the store and then where ever you want to go" Vontae said smiling at me

"Riah what you wanna do" I asked turning around to her

"Go see Diamond" She said getting excited

"Okay we gone surprise her" I said

Diamond has been my bestfriend since 1st grade. When I was locked up she would bring Zariah down to visit me as much as she could. I didn't tell her I was out so I'm gone surprise her.

We walked into Walmart and I put Zariah in the cart.

"Hey daddy" some girl said walking up to Vontae

She wasn't ugly but she wasn't all that either. She was decent or what ever.

"Why you ain't call me back last night" She said getting closer to him

"My bad I fell asleep" he said

I rolled my eyes and walked away pushing Zariah in the cart.

"Nakiyah" a fimiliar voice yelled from the other end of the aisle

I turned around and seen it was one of my child hood friends. At first I didn't recognize him, he done glowed up.

"Aaron" I said excited

"Where you been" he said giving me a hug

"That's a long story" I said laughing

"This your daughter" he asked referring to Zariah

"Yeah"

"Hey Lil ma" he said squeezing her cheeks

"We need to catch up" I said

"Let me get your number" he said handing me his phone

I put my number in his phone and then Vontae walked over by me.

"Don't bother using that number this all me" Vontae said wrapping his arms around me

"Don't listen to him" I said pushing him off me

"I'll call you later" Aaron said giving me a hug then walked away to finish his shopping.
