Meeting new people

When school finally ended I started to walk home when I heard a loud voice behind me. "Hey!! Milo wait!" I turned around to see my only friend kirito, he was running towards me so I stopped walking "hi" I say to him when he runs up to me, "hi!" He replies, I smile, he's always so full of energy, and his long blue and black hair is always over at least on of his eyes, "why don't you cut your hair?" I say to him as we walk "what?! No my hair is fabulous like this!" He says smiling, I can't help but smile. "Can we hang out today?" Kirito asks, "sure but we have to do a little bit of homework" I say looking at him "what! Homework is so boring!" He whines, I smile "just a little bit I need to have good grades" I say as we walk up to my house "fiiiinnnneee" he whines and sighs, then we both giggle. after a while we didn't do any homework. All we did was eat popcorn and play video games, then kirito decided that he should sleep over so he did ---in the morning at school--- ugh I'm so tired yesterday I got like no sleep, I didn't even hear the teacher call my name until she walked up to my seat and clapped her hands in front of my face, I look up at her in surprise "milo are you listening to me?! I said for this project you will be paired up with karou! You need to listen!" She yells at me, great now everyone is looking at me! "Sorry" I mumble "you better be!" She says, then she walks back to her desk and continues to talk, I sigh, I really hate having to partner up with people! Then I feel a tap on my shoulder. "Hi I'm karou" I look at him "hi I'm--" then I stop talking, it's the guy who bumped into me and made me late for class! I look at the floor "I'm milo.." I say quietly, "I'm sorry about before when I bumped you" he says almost instantly "it's alright" I say, I look up to see him smiling at me, I blush lightly "so what do you want to do for this project? It has to have something to do with animals" he says with a happy tone "it doesn't matter to me as long as we have bunnies in it" I say, I feel my cheeks start to get pink as he smiles at me "l-lets just get started o-ok?" I say trying not to stammer "ok! Let's get started!" he replies smiling at me, I can't help but smile a bit. I know I said I wouldn't trust people anymore but karou's smile makes my heart feel weird, I really do like his smile, I find myself getting lost in my own thoughts, when I realize karou's face is close to mine "are you alright milo?" He asks curiously, I move back quickly and end up falling off my chair, I groan "ow that hurt" now I'm sitting on the floor and people are looking at me, I look up and see karou looking down at me, I blush and quickly get up and sit in my seat "did I scare you?" Karou asks "yes! So don't get that close to me!" I snap at him , he seems to get a bit sad, and I can't figure out why

---karou's POV---
Milo seemed to be really irritated so I decided to let him work on his part of the project, I wonder if he's mad about me bumping into him, I sigh, I look over at him and see he's drawing a bunny, I lean in closer to look at it "hey that's really good" I say to him, I see him blush and he moves away from me a bit.  "T-thanks..." He replies slowly, like he's afraid of something, I watch him draw for a few minutes, he's really good! And he seems to like it, I smile and continue to work on the project.
