A rustling noise came from the bushes making me stop. I turned around to see who or what was there. "What are you doing?" I asked Kili as he stood there smirking crazily "You are a really good singer" He said ignoring my question, "Did you write that?" He asked me as he came closer to join me at the balcony, "Yes" I sighed. We both stood there looking out over Rivendell, "Hey!" He said, breaking the silence "What?" I asked eagerly, "You, cut your hair" He ruffled my hair and chuckled. I punched him hard but playfully, he stopped laughing and sighed loudly, "What?" I asked and nudged him but he didn't respond for a while. "Can I ask you something?" He asked seriously, I shrugged my shoulders and nodded "Okay well you know when we first met Radagast in the forest?" I nodded again "And he asked how's your family" I sighed because I finally knew what he was about to ask me. "Why.."
"I have been on my own since I was a child, before that it was just me and my older brother. My parents they always had to deal with something I don't know they never told us. But one day they were so much more stressed out than usual, they had to go out and they told us to stay inside and don't answer the door to anyone. They didn't come back and we were forced to live out on the streets. My brother got a job as a blacksmith to pay for food and water and one day he was caught stealing bread and was sentenced to prison for life. I didn't see him again after that, one day I met Gandalf he took me in and treated me like his own. He introduced me to my powers and taught me how to control them. He told me that he knew my father and that him and Radagast used to have meetings all the time. And yeah.." I trailed off and wiped the tears away I looked up at Kili who was very interested in what I had told him. "He's been like a father to you" His voice gentle and sweet, I nodded and chuckled as more tears came streaming down my face. "Don't cry" He whispered as he wiped the tears off my face. "Come, let's go see the others" He took my hand in his and led me out of my secret hiding spot.
