I see you standing in a moonlit night, the soft moonlight is falling upon you
making you look like an angel
who has descended on this earth.
I walk to you, you smile,
I see a glint in your eyes
and feel a strange serenity in them
so intense your black eyes are.
You offer your hand to me
with a gentle smile and anticipation
I take your warm hand
and clasp it taut.
We walk a long way,
gentle breeze is blowing.
Your hair gets scruffy
I smile and caress them.
You take my hand and plant a kiss
like a king does to his queen.
I freeze by your touch.
We stop by a beach,
the sound of the sea tides
are a little different today as
you are with me.
I hold your hand more tightly
and close my eyes.
Suddenly, you let go of my hand,
I look at you now
with a slight grief.
You hold my face with your hands
and smile a heavenly smile.
You lower your face and give
a beautiful soft kiss on my lips.
You say,"I love you"
Ah, that mellifluous voice of yours
makes my heart pound faster.
My face glows as I see those
love filled eyes
I smile and say
"I love you too".
