Flowers and candies on my bed with a note,
"A black dress in your closet.
I'm waiting in the garden."
I wore the elegant black dress,
plaited my hair with pearls.

As I reached I could only see darkness
blended with the gleam of moonlight.
I stood stunned as the garden
illuminated with colourful lights.
My marquis walked with grace
and smiled with admiration.
My heart did a complete somersault as I saw him.

He gently held my hand, planted a kiss
and took me to the garden table.
Two crystal glasses of champagne stood proud
on table, a luminous candle nearby.

He kept staring at me as
a thirsty traveler stares at water.
That mystical charm in his face
set my heart on fire.
Sparkling eyes were the stars of twilight sky.
His lips were pink pillows
to which I had kissed a thousand times.
His fingers brushed my pink
rosé like cheeks with tenderness.

We took sips together holding hands
reminiscing our happy moments.
Love was in our eyes,
romance was in the air.
He slipped a diamond ring
onto my finger unexpectedly.
"Marry me. Again!" he cooed.
As I held him in a warm embrace
I shed tears of happiness.
