Adam briskly walked one street after the next, using his keen eyesight to discern shapes either in torrential rain, misty fog, or dew drenched smog. To his frustration he could not find either of what he was looking for. On the one hand, he wanted desperately to find his love, Eve. She was the Love of his Life. His True Partner! The reason for his existence, as it stands right now. Without her, he would not exist. Tears welled in his eyes, burning him with pain. He understood her pain. He did betray her. He shouldn't have done what he did. It was far too soon! If he had just held back a little longer...but, that was the second hand, wasn't it? On the second hand, there was Azrael, his Angel, his Beloved, the way his life is in the Present. The way it could be...Adam thought this over....Am I really in love with her... or is it desire....the desire to be saved? Salvation....yes...That's it! It has to be! Nothing more. He smiled. However...he was not fully satisfied with that answer...at least his body was not reacting that way. He wanted her more than any woman he had ever wanted, even more, than his Love, Eve. That was something, he could not explain.
Adam searched every pub, every coffee house, every private vampire underground, he could find. Still no sign of Eve. He was about to give up, when he saw her walk into a coffee shop he had already checked once before. It was just happenstance that she arrived. Sitting in a quiet, dark corner, with her book of poetry, she was unaware that Adam, had sat down in front of her. She looked up startled. He half expected her to run off, turn away, and leave. Instead, she took his hand, tears in her eyes, and kissed his fingers.
"Oh Adam. How I have missed you." Eve said, wiping her tears with his hands.
"I've missed you too." Adam said to her lovingly through tears of his own.
"I didn't think you'd come looking for me." Eve said. "Didn't think you'd care."
"Well. You were wrong." Adam told her, kissing her long fingers.
"Tell me why." Eve asked him.
"Why what?" Adam asked.
"Why you would be with someone like her?" Eve asked him through her pain.
"It was only a onetime thing, Eve. Not to be repeated. I was overcome with lust." Adam answered. "It's over now. Not to be worried about. She won't be back. I've made sure of it."
"How? She's a hunter. She will kill us both!" Eve exclaimed.
"No. She won't. She agreed to spare us. She promised to leave us alone. I sent her packing. She is gone." Adam reassured her. "Let's go home."
"Just like that? That quick?" Eve asked, finding it hard to believe.
"Just like that." Adam said, helping Eve up.
They left the coffee shop, and headed into the night together, as they had always done, like two lovers, arm in arm. The night was still young, and they did not want to retire to their apartment, so Adam and Eve took to the inner city. It had been far too long since the two of them had been out together on a date. They donned their best sunglasses and looked in the shop windows marvelling at the latest styles. Eve boasted once or twice at some of the outfits that she would look simply smashing in them, Adam agreed with her, punctuating it with a kiss. They passed a few pubs, took a sniff, and walked on by, for they did not tickle their fancy. It wasn't until a familiar scent and a feeling grabbed Adam by the throat that caused them to stop at the Twin Brooms. Neither one of them were familiar with this club, for it was filled with Gothic subculture, and pseudo-vamps. They walked in and both started giggling, it seemed as if they were the only real vamps there. They would most certainly have to reveal themselves later, if need be to teach some sucker a lesson. Maybe a spanking over the knee, before a biting. Adam took a corner table as usual nearest to the back, with Eve sitting on his knee. His arms around her waist. He was still catching a very faint scent of something familiar....what was it. It was very real....a real vampire was in here. Someone like them. Not just a normal vampire, but.....Suddenly...the atmosphere in the club changed.
The club lights dimmed, the spotlights on the stage went on, and there she was.....his Angel....Azrael....was on the stage! Front stage centre! She was performing! Singing.....dancing....Adam slid his sunglasses down from his eyes slowly. His eyes were transfixed on every move she was making, his ears were hanging on to every sound, and his body was reacting to every move she made. Eve was aware of that fact, as she turned around sharply. Her vampire eyes focused on his. But....he was already lost. She thought the girl looked familiar. Eve's eyes went from pain to anger to pain again. She tugged Adam to snap him out of it. But, it was futile. She threw her sunglasses back on her face, threw some money across the table, and slammed out of the pub into the great open night.
Azrael finished her set, thanked the audience, did one encore song, and went to the dressing room. Checking the time, she knew she better hurry, and get out there and hunt, before Johnathan's hitmen get there first. How she hated him! She shoved her weapons in the top of her bag and hurried out the door. She admitted she needed this little excursion. First, having Anthony her partner turn her in to the Council, then getting Excommunicated, then getting kicked out of the Council, then getting dumped by Adam, now Father Dimitri is not returning my calls. It's all too much! On top of that, Anthony, my biggest fan, was not even here tonight to cheer me on! Nothing like feeling being betrayed! Now it was time for an as kicking. Heading away from the pub, Azrael's keen senses was picking up a disturbance. Raised voices and running. She followed the noise, but was abruptly stopped when an arm wrapped around her.
"What the Hell?" Azrael said.
"Shhh." the voice told her.
"Again. What the HELL!" she whispered loudly, stepping back. She then realized it was Adam.
"Sorry. I had to stop you." Adam told her.
"Stop me from what?" Azrael asked him. "I was going after a vamp problem. I am a hunter you know."
"I know. It was Eve." Adam. Said.
"EVE?" Azrael asked. "Who is she yelling at? Why is she running? Why aren't you helping?"
"I would. It is Hunters that she is running from. That yelling you heard...are hunters." Adam said, looking at the ground. "They picked up her trail. I only hope she made it in time."
"DAMN!" Azrael yelled. "I was hoping I had beaten them out here."
"Why? Aren't they with you?" Adam asked.
"Not anymore. I was let go from everything...and I mean everything." Azrael answered. "Because of my relationship with you."
"I am sorry, Azrael." Adam consoled her, embracing her.
Adam could feel the softness of her melting into him as she embraced him back. How he loved the scent of her. It enticed every fibre within him. He needed her comfort, her touch, her love, her tenderness. He wanted her, to devour her, to take her, to taste her, to drink her in every way. Could he do it? Could he do it here? He saw an opportunity. Taking her hand, he walked her deeper into the brush, next to the side of a building. Backing her against the wall, he kissed her deeply in the mouth, taking her tongue deeply into his mouth, twisting it with his. She did not refuse, or back away. Azrael too, wanted him. She nuzzled her mouth against his neck, biting down hungrilry, letting the blood flow into her mouth. His hands moving feverishly under her skirt, finding her wet and ready for him. His fingers moving expertly in and out of her, bringing her to orgasm, as he bit down on her neck. Gushing both from blood and juices, he lifted her off the ground, wrapping both legs around him, plunging his swollen manhood into her. Moaning in joint pleasure they road each other in perfect rhythm. She was so perfectly tight and wet, and fabulous fit for him. She was made just for him. He knew that, as he felt himself harden in orgasm spilling himself into her, as she splashed onto him. She collapsed around him, as he lowered both of them to the ground. For a moment neither of them could move. But, they knew they must.....He had to know if Eve made it out ok.....He had just made love to his Angel yes.....but his Eve.....
