Y/N POV
⚠️WARNING: cursing, violence

A couple of days had went by of just pure planning. The distance between me and Marc seems to have grown since the night I left the apartment as myself. Steven has been trying to make some small talk, try and lighten the mood, but I haven't been much help. I have a mission, I'm here to save the world not play house with Steven and Marc. Layla has been more active with me, which feels nice only because she isn't actively plotting behind me without my knowledge. I've never had issues with her, not even when Steven still looks at her with those lost brown eyes. Though it stings a bit to know I was second in his life. Marc was always kind to me, put in the most effort, but that was because I never got the chance to spend time with Steven as my actual self. "Hey, you ready?" I shook my head out of my thoughts slightly as I turned to see Steven with a light weighted jacket. "Yea, yea I'm ready." I got up from the couch and began heading out the door with Steven. It was a nice day out for once. The sky's were clear in London, the summer air not feeling at all how summer would feel in the midst of August. Soon the September fall air will gust through and a whole new season will begin. "You know, it's been a while since we went on a walk.." Steven speaks softly. I hummed in agreement and continued walking. The eyes of others staring at me as if I was crazy as I walked past them. It didn't bother me though, I was used to stares. This is for my own protection, not for style. We stopped at a cross walk and waited for the light to let us walk. The hair on the back of my neck stood as I felt the sense of being watched. I quickly turned my head to the crowd to the left and saw the white wolf. My heart dropped as I realized I haven't seen it in so long. The moment the crowds start to walk away it vanishes. I stood there for a moment just looking at the spot it was just at and couldn't help myself to be lost in thought. "Santiago!" I slightly shook my head as I turned to Steven and met with his wide eyes. "What's gotten into you mate? You alright?" He asked in a concerned voice, but I didn't know how to respond. I looked around to make sure I wasn't missing any signs and turned back to the spot where the wolf was. "Steven...follow me. Stay close." I say as I quickly ran across the street before the time could run out. "Huh? Wa- Wait!" He shouted out for me but I didn't bother to look back. I had to find it. It's been months since I had those dreams of being in the same empty void for years, then all of a sudden this wolf appears and disappears from my sight. But why? Why now? What's the meaning of it? I ran down every street, turning my head in every corner to see if I can catch a glimpse of it just one last time. My breath heavy, my chest rising and falling with each breath I took, my heart beating faster with every passing glance on the street. It felt like it was taunting me, as if it dared me to find it. I can never tell if this animal was ever real to begin with. If it was a fragment of my imagination, as a symbol of something else. I locked eyes once more with the wolf and watched as it began to run away in another direction. I wasted no time and began to chase it through the crowd. I weaved in and out of people, making sure no one could be in my way as I had my eyes set on the white blur ahead of me. It made a hard right and I was quick to make the same movement, but all it did was end in empty alleyway with houses on either side. I stood there in disbelief, staring at the brick wall in front of me. "Santiago!" A distant voice shouted. Great, it's Marc. "What the hell got into you?!" He shouted with his arms out. "I don't know. I saw something and I thought I should've followed it..I can't explain it but something was there, something was taunting me." I said with my brows furrowed, not daring to turn around to face him yet. "That doesn't give you a right to just fucking run off! You're so immature, it's like I'm having to take care of a kid!" I turned around in anger as he spoke. "Now hold on, don't give me that shit! If anything you're the one who's been so immature lately! You've been so all dark and brooding and sulking in whatever issues you have going on, while we are at war!" "I could say the same to you! You haven't been saying jack shit to me so why should I to you?!" I huffed out some air in anger, trying to compose myself but he always knows how to press my buttons. "And why would I have anything to say to you right now?! I'm trying to think of ways to save this world before it goes to hell and all you've done is just lay around and mope!" His eyes narrowed as his brows moved forward, "And you think I haven't been thinking either?!" "With that big head and small brain, I doubt it." I rolled my eyes and pushed past him to get back out onto the side walk but he quickly grabbed my arm and tried to punch me but I quickly dodged and strike him in the gut. "You really trying to do that to me?! You remember the last time you tried to pick a fight?" I said with a bit of a smirk on my lips. He groaned in anger and annoyance as he got back into a fighting position. "You really trying to do this again?! For what?!" "Just shut the fuck up!" He tried throwing another punch but I quickly blocked it with my right arm and grabbed him with my left hand and threw him over my shoulder hard into the concrete. He groaned in pain as I saw the ground slightly cracked from his body. "I don't know what the hell has gotten into you, but you need to figure your shit out before you decide to throw yourself into battle." I bent down onto my knees and glared at with anger. "You're sloppy. And you're old. Those two things is what's going to get you killed out there." I stood up and walked away from him slowly before stopping in the entrance of the alleyway and slightly turning my head to look at him. "And don't expect me to save your ass either." He let out a breathless chuckle as he slowly got up. "Funny...was going to say the same thing." I scoffed and rolled my eyes before heading out into the streets. It felt like I had tunnel vision, everything around me felt like a blur as I headed back to the apartment.
