Nat
It's Sunday night and I'm here rolling up a blunt and putting it to my lips after lighting it. I stared at the white ceiling thinking about Lydia. In my dazed state, I text her. *I'm picking you up tomorrow*
A minute later the phone buzzed on my thigh. *Okay? haha* I smile as I shoot another text. *For school. I'll pick you up at 8 am sharp babe.*
After several moments, another buzz appeared on my phone. *See you then x*
I couldn't help but wonder if I scared her off. But she sent a kiss so if sure didn't bother her right? I decided to leave it and stop over thinking it because my mind is clearly not straight right now.
This thing is going to be very hard. I knew things weren't in a good place right now and I'm surprised I'm not running the other direction yet. The part that I didn't want is seemed to be most in control.
I was so excited to move here at first. So eager to get into the local scene and go party again. It was so natural for me.
I thought about my years being basketball captain. Playing in games, having my fair share of girls and attending wild parties getting both high and drunk. I loved being a part of all that before things really changed, sending my life in a completely different direction.
I chuckle to myself. God was I stupid! I thought this would be easy. Lay low, chill, maybe even hit up some parties. I wasn't planning on knowing people well enough, especially not so much to actually like them. I felt like I was a part of them.
Now I am falling so, so hard for this girl. If she was my girl in my old high school, I would have took care of her and hold on to her and never let go. She was the type of girl that a guy would want to keep just for himself.
I chuckle to myself again. I feel like a pathetic love sick loser.
I glance to my desk and see the pile of papers that I needed to complete for school. Maybe I could get Brian to do my homework. That would be funny but I knew that request wouldn't go too well. He would probably punch me. I hate doing this stupid classwork.

I sat there waiting in front of Lydia's house in my car. I hear a door slam and see her chestnut hair pulled back into a braided bun along with a muscle tank with 'Chanel' written across it and black harem pants. She looked different, I've always seen her with loose clothing. She would look nerdy too but now, she looks stunning, relaxed.
She closes the door and straps on her seat belt before turning around and giving me a smile. "Good morning." She says cheerfully.
"Good morning. Did you get a new wardrobe?"
"No, I've always had these just chose not to wear them. Plus we are gonna start practicing. The wedding is in two weeks."
"I don't know how to dance, Lyd."
"It's not so hard really, you won't have to do much."
"Where are we going to practice?"
"My basement. It was turned into a dance studio for me and my mom."
"Oh yeah, you told me she was a performer too."
"Yeah she's a ballerina like me."
"That's really cool."
