Nat

She was here.

She looked so fucking pretty in her blue dress and her soft honey hair cascaded down to the middle of her back. She was showing more skin than usual and I didn't mind one bit.

I was so mesmerized by her that I didn't even realize who she was with.

I did a double take at the nerd I see every day. I gotta say, he cleaned up well.

I look around to see that other people's reaction are the same as mine. Some laughed, but there were a few girls that gave him a look of approval.

I notice the way he was staring at her- like she was the reason he exists- but Lydia looked more uncomfortable. She looked everywhere but at him.

Ha. Wow. William here has a crush on Lydia, but she doesn't reciprocate. For some reason, I was so glad.

"I see you're enjoying your eye candy," Sammy says as he came up to me handing me my soda and bucket of popcorn.

"Who? William? Nah."

"You and I both know who you were staring at. Bro, if you want her, go get her!"

"I can't." I groan as we walk to the line to get into the theater.

"Why not? Do you have a girlfriend back home? Do you go for the other team and just like Lydia's outfits or something?" He chuckles.

"What? No! Just no girlfriend for me. Period." I say rolling my eyes.

"So you're just going to lust from afar?"

"Yep."

We take a seat towards the back of the movie theater. I liked sitting up here so I can see everything around me. I turn to look at Sammy when he made an unnecessary loud groan.

"I hate sitting up here without have a babe to... You know, engage in activities with. I need a girl like right now." He says leaving back.

"Good luck with that," I say turning to face the screen. "Maybe you should actually talk to a girl?"

"That's rich coming from you! The guy that stares and drools but doesn't do anything about it."

"Hey, at least I have an actual living and breathing babe to drool over."

"I knew it!" He laughs. "You like her!"

Damn. He's right. "Shut up and eat your popcorn like a good boy." I grin.

"Ha jokes on you! I have no good bones in my body."

"That sucks because all I have is good bones." I winked.

"Damn." He says, raising his eyebrows.

"Maybe I should show you how it's done someday."

"How about right now?" He says nodding his head towards the two figures that just walked in and sat in the middle of the theater.

It was William and Lydia.

I stiffened as I watched them. William leaned towards her and she shuffled away.

She obviously is very uncomfortable near him and it set alarms off in my head. I wondered if he tried to hit on her and she didn't like it. I was surprised that they were they same people in class a few days ago. He changed his appearance and it had the opposite effect on the person he was doing it for.

He draped an arm around her and she visibly stiffened.

I grabbed my popcorn and got up, going down towards them.
