Wrong soul mate

I feel goosebumps on my legs as my toes dip in into water. The sand is cold and my butt starts to numb but I don't want to move. Cresil is sitting beside me with his left arm draped over me, holding tightly, making me feel safe in his arms. I feel as if I'm on a soft cloud in the sky high above this world.

We had a quick breakfast at Tally's but neither one of us was interested in eating. We knew what each other was thinking but we never said it out loud. After a quick bite of my pancakes Cresil asked.

" You wanna get out of here?"

" Yes."

Cresil pulls me closer into him and I look up into his eyes. A warning like shiver ran down me, Cresils eyes are totally black with hardly a hint of white. I freeze for a moment not knowing what to do. Cresil quickly kisses me and looks away towards the water. I feel slightly uneasy, that was weird.

" Are you ok?"

I ask hesitantly. He doesn't look at me right away, stairing a moment longer out at the lake. He turns to me smiling.

" Of course I am. I'm here with you."

I smile at him then he turns to look back at the water. His eyes are grey again but I can't help but feel there's something he's not saying. I let go of my uneasiness by looking out at the shimmering water.

We spend the next several hours talking about our lives and our dreams. I've never met a man like Cresil before. He is absolutely wonderful and intriguing. The whole time we talk I can not keep my eyes off of him. I want to know everything about this man. He laughs easily with me and I feel myself around him, it's such a wonderful feeling being with someone that makes you feel complete. When he looks at me he sees me, he looks at me with admiration that I don't quite understand. I can't help but think I am falling in love with this man. Time slips away faster than I realized I notice the sun begaing to go down.

" What time is it?" I ask

" 7:30, do you need to be getting home now?"

" I'll call my parents, I'll be right back."

I quickly run to the truck to grab my phone and notice I have no missed calls from my mom or dad just some text messages from Nova. So I open them to see what she said.

Are you with Cresil? Your parents aren't home but I let myself in with the spare key. If your with Cresil ask him about a friend!! I'm lonely and a companion ;)

So you haven't answered and I assume your with Cresil. Where are your parents? I'm staying the night with you, I'll see you later

I call my mom's phone but there's no answer so I leave a message. Walking back towards Cresil feeling bubbly and lighthearted totally opposite from how I felt this morning. Cresil watches me careful as I sit beside him. He stares at me what seems like forever. A small smile plays on his lips.

" You know I haven't had anything to drink today. Except for this morning." A full grin on his face now " Your amazing... I think I'm falling in love with you and I just meet you."

My heart leaps because I feel the same way but should I? I make the first move, too fast, my lips land on his too hard and our teeth slam together.

" I am so sorry!"

Cresil starts laughing and playfully falls over onto the sandy beach and I began to laugh to. Cresil rolls over onto his side propping his head up with his elbow.
