Soaring in the Sky~ Chapter 8

Tris's POV~
The plane ride so far is pretty enjoyable to be completely honest, my momma is sitting to the left of me and I'm sitting next to the wonderful window that gives me the view of vast world that is mighty beautiful.
I look over to mom and she's peacefully sleeping so I decided to rest my head on her shoulder and cuddle up to her and take a nap as well, I can feel the beautiful sun rays on my arms beaming from the window.

I awake to a soft hand lightly shaking my arm, as my eyes open I see my moms beautiful smile.
"Beatrice were here" she softly breathes out
"I'm so excited" I quickly ramble out
A smile sprouts on my face

We walk off of the plane and go to retrieve our luggage, shortly after that we rent a car from the airport and arrive to my grandmothers house
I turn the knob of my grandmothers front door and me and my mom as if on cue sing "Honey we're home"
"Hold on darlings I'm just finishing up in the washroom" we hear her dainty voice
My mom walk over to the living room area and sets down our luggage and I sit in my grandmothers favorite love seat.
While we're waiting we occupy ourselves by being mesmerize by the beautiful and graceful fish that are in their fish tank over by her fireplace, their colors are so vibrant and full of life.

It's not too long before I feel a gentle hand placed on my head and I look up only to be greeted by her warm eyes and welcoming features.

I scurry up to give my grandmother a huge hug and embrace her tightly, I feel hers soft hands knead my shoulder blades and I remember just how much I've missed her.

My mom does the same.

"How was the journey out here?" Momom questions
"Very pleasant" my mom hums
"So how are you Momom?" I hesitantly ask
"No need to worry about me dear I'm still living the beautiful life I was honored to be graced with, I've also recently got into gardening, I'm growing tomatoes, green beans and rosemary" Momom says excitedly

I'm so thankful that she's this optimistic about everything, it lightens the mood a lot, and it makes me realize how free spirited she is and I've always loved that about her.

Me and my mom later make dinner for her; pits pockets with blueberries, spinach, and chicken.

"Good night two peas in a pod I love you" my mom says as she tucks in me and Momom, she asked if I wouldn't mind could I sleep with her while we're out here and I couldn't be happier.

"Goodnight mommy!" Me and my Momom say in unison, with that we hear her footsteps fade

"Good night Momom I love you so much!!"
I roll over and kiss her on her fore head.
"I love you more sweet potato"
We both gracefully fall asleep into a peaceful sleep.
