UNDISCOVERED GEM INTERVIEW
The book we chose to feature in our magazine is “Lost Lies and Love Ties” by @Beautifuldarkmonster.
This book is an undiscovered but worthy to read that had few votes and few comments. I talked to the author today about some of the aspects that helped her start her first book.
Ivy, or Beautifuldarkmonster was inspired to write a werewolf romance book by similar books on Wattpad, she developed a love for the genre and decided the best way to express this new found fondness to being her own book.
The book revolves around the life of Anastasia or Ani to most of the characters in her book, it's an easy to follow book and has some comedic flavor. Ivy found that reading other people's romantic fictions gave her a thrill and that she began to write the book, with some sort of hope that it would do the same for future readers.
Even though she had very little fans, she stressed that every read/comment and vote made her smile and really motivated her to write more lengthy and amazing chapters which is shown throughout the book. The writing style and words really grow with the more support she gets from other aspiring writers, who she normally deals reads for reads.
She is a very down to earth sweet person, which reflects in her book, as she replies to every comment and follows the 'always follow back' rule.
Her biggest inspiration for Anastasia was herself, the upcoming author says, but making sure to include various feelings and past experiences from her life and books that she reads. She was very humble and thankful for the books she had read to help her make the fiery character Anastasia come to life.
In the book, Ani is having problems with the leading man Christopher and Ivy, joked happily about the fact if she was to tell her leading lady one piece of advice, telling her to man up and give Christopher a chance, despite what she's been through.
Whilst talking to her, she told me that the two elements she is good at writing are the romance sections and the sarcastic remarks that make the book flare and easily draw a new coming reader in. She says that it doesn't really how of much of that now in the current situation of the book, but it will definitely be present later on.
When asked about the books process, she was very clear and happy to say that she's not really into how popular her book gets, that the book will keep on going just because her love for the characters and writing with keep her dedication to the romance novel strong. She's a very sweet person that stated she has written a good several chapters ahead just in case the she doesn't have time to write.
