So Wattpad deleted 'Share Your Story'.
Imagine my surprise when I, opened my laptop, ready for some hardcore advertising and POOOF, no way to know that they did such a thing.
First of all, they claimed they sent out an email, notifying everyone of the change that was going to happen, with the deletion of share your story, the joining of all multi media groups and the critism block which seems to cause my trouble then solve.
Let's be real guys, some people claim they can take critism but then again they really can't. it's sad actually because when they get knocked off or tips on how to make their stories better, most get really defensive and next thing you know, you've started world war three, you've shot a blind person in the leg and somebody has stolen your goddamn llama.
I mean honestly.
And all that was the result of a simple tip like this, ' you really need to work on your grammar.' As humans, we cannot take these tips well, unless you are a compeltely calm and simple person, then congradulations, you've taken critism like a BOSS.
But anyway we are getting off topic, the topic was Wattpad's move to take away Share Your Story which is pretty much the pit stop for new books, of course there are some people that hang around their day in and day out, like crazy old cat ladies on the street asking for milk... *shivers* but then their are some pretty decent people that just want reads and truthfu nice comments that will help their popularity rise.
Hell, I was one of those people, I would stick to deals, maybe get kicked out a few threads because I started tiny non significant fights.
I didn't choose thug life, thug life chose me bro.
On Wattpad's side, I do see the reasons, like the vote situation which involves people sneakily trading votes and fake comment deals without even glancing at the name of the book let alone the genre and the contents.
Another possible reason for deleting the club section was the empty threads.
It's all happened to us.
Don''t lie.
You don''t need to baby.
Im right here, i'll hold you while you admit, we all have recieved or dealt with the gost town expecrience.
When you make a thread, with an appealing name, maybe a couple of smiley faces and funny little line, come back a couple of minutes later to see everyone and iIrepeat, EVERYONE has flocked, flocked , to a thead that looks EXACTLY like yours.
And you just stare for seconds trying to figure out what that slut thread has that you dont. Soon you becoe a stalker, you click on the thread, scowling at all of the attention and touches it's getting by other authors and books, while they openly flaunt that they are cooler in your face, or they've got more friends than you, and your fingers ich to spread ficious, but funny rumours about them, like how they light their underwear on fire to feel something or how they eat their own boogers.
These empty threads aren't much fun but they aren't a nuiscance to us Wattpad users as much as Wattpad thinks.
