Yesterday I almost scream because I woke up in a room with flowery wallpaper instead of white walls and light brown wood furniture. Then that is when it hit me that I wasn't in Miami anymore. Then I went back to sleep.

After sleeping for another hour then my grandmother barge in to my room and literally drag me out of bed. She forced me to take a shower. We ate breakfast peacefully. I was relieved that Aunt Meg and her daughter aren't living with my grandmother. She said that they have a house on the next street.

After we ate breakfast we went to my new school and enrolled. I was a little bit happy because we don't have any uniform. After that my grandmother went home because I bought paints for my room. I don't like that flowery wallpaper though so I bought a black and white paint for my room.

I didn't waste any time. I tear the wallpaper immediately the moment I step in to my room. I paint the wall white and black on the corners. I also bought some decorations. Like picture frames and some bedroom stuff. My grandmother eyes widen when a full length mirror was delivered in our house.

Then is spent most of the remaining time unpacking my clothes and putting them on the walk in closet. My dad said that my things will be here next week. Dinner had come and then after that I went to sleep. This is the most physical activity I had done besides playing volleyball.

The next day I didn't really want to go out. I just wanted to lie in bed all day because of my sore body. I can't move my legs when I woke up and my head is throbbing because of the paint's strong smell. But my grandmother had different idea. She forces me out of the bed just like she did yesterday.

She said that is should be exploring the place and go to the mall to buy stuff that I needed for school. I had made excuses but somehow I find myself sitting in the salon while starring at me reflection. I decided to color my hair black. My hair color is kind of black like black but almost brown... if that makes sense but I still want it blacker.

After sitting here for almost half an hour and my but becoming numb. Finally the hair dresser decided that it's time to wash my hair. I can't help but giggle when she was washing my hair it tickles my scalp. Then she blow dries it.

"You want to have a trim?" Cindy asks. Cindy is the hair dresser well kind of her mom owns the salon and she is also in her senior year. We will also be going at the same school which is I was thankful for because I have met someone already. "Don't worry I'm not like the others that cuts almost five inches of hair." She giggled. I nodded still hesitating. I am the one who cuts my hair because the last time I went to the salon and made them cut my hair they almost cut it just below my shoulders. I literally stomp out of the salon. And after that it was me or Cathy trims it.

After several minutes of cutting and hair falling down the floor. She had a big smile on her face she helped me stand up from the chair. My eyes widen at my hair. She said it was just a trim. I run my fingers to my hair examining it with wide eyes.

"You don't like it?" She asks me.

"What? No!" I said. "I mean I like it. Thank you." Her smile grew bigger if that is possible. She cut it in layers emphasizing my wavy hair. It looks lushes and big. The hair color also suits me it makes my green eyes more vibrant. I hugged and her we jumped. I immediately pull away.

"Sorry. I just got happy." I smiled.

"It's okay." I handed her a few bills but she refused it. "Oh no it's okay. It's on me and besides we're friends now." She laughs I nodded and said thank you a couple of times before carrying the shopping bags out of the salon.

I bring out my phone to check at the time when Cathy's name flashes through the screen.

"Hey." I said continue to walk.
