A few hours had passed. The medicine had already worn off, leaving Mikey surprisingly irate. Perhaps that was a side effect of it.

"Which further proves that it's nothing more than a drug." JJ thought scathingly. "Look at how it's warping my precious' brain. I'll slaughter all of those doctors, as soon as I'm able to escape."

In order not to provoke his Mikey into anger, JJ was keeping to himself for a while. He didn't mind, seeing as he had plenty of things to think about while he was trapped here. It mostly consisted of fantasies of how he could kill these doctors. His head had been way more bloody inside than usual for these past few hours, which was another reason he hadn't been disturbing Mikey. If Mikey were to snap at him, he might snap back, and his elevated anger and sequences of violent thoughts might result in an undesirable outcome for the turtle.

He'd already tried breaking the glass; he'd found by now that it was impossible with just his bare hands. That was when he'd found out about Mikey's little side effect; he'd irritably asked him to stop, and his movements were now in full; not slowed and weak like it'd been during the time the medicine was active. JJ'd silently obeyed.

No one had come back at all since then. JJ was petrified that they'd be left to starve, and he refused to accept a situation that guaranteed death, especially when he had his little victim kidnapped elsewhere (so he thought), and therefore a ticket to the outside world. He refused to let his hard work go to waste, just to end up dying in a stupid medical tent, trapped by stupid people who probably weren't even certified doctors. He'd simply put in too much effort into living to roll over now. He was going to get out, one way or another.

It had been a half an hour since JJ had last examined Mikey, and once he did again, he noticed that he looked less tense than before. Assuming that it had worn off by now, JJ moved closer to him, putting his hand on his.

"Hey there." He cooed, his shoulders relaxing at the thought of being able to touch him again. "I know you're stressed, my sweet baby. But I'm here, and I always will be. I'll get us out of here soon enough."

He interlocked his fingers with Mikey's, and Mikey didn't react, continuing to stare off somewhere. JJ was about to press for a response, when suddenly, the sound of blocks breaking and being placed was heard, snapping JJ's attention away from Mikey.

Someone had replaced some of the glass blocks with a door so they were able to enter. The female doctor was now here, which made JJ's muscles tense immediately. He reached for his knife, pointing it at her before she could get too close.

"Don't fucking come near me." He threatened. "Kidnapper. Give me one good reason why I shouldn't get rid of you right now."

"Because I was just following orders." There was something unusual in her eyes. It almost seemed like pity. "And because I don't want to hurt you. In fact, I want to help, and understand what's going on with you."

"Why do you care?" JJ snapped.

"Because it's a better alternative than what the leader wants to do with you." She said bluntly. "Maybe if I can get to the bottom of your behavior and try to help manage it, then I'll be able to make a case for you, and the leader won't want to punish you anymore. Or, at least, he won't want to punish you as severely as he plans."

"I've noticed this bitch is all for talking, but hardly for actually doing anything. Put him in front of me right now, and I can assure you, there won't be a threat anymore. You'll do that for me if you really want to help."

"Encouraging your behavior wouldn't help with anything. I wanted to ask you both some questions, so I could get an idea of what's going on."

"I'm not going to tolerate you being in front of me for much longer, let alone tell you anything about my personal life."
