I hastily strolled through the sidewalk as I clutched the trench coat tighter to my body. After that awkward encounter, I couldn't seem to get his face off my mind. Now, I was trying to find the set location in which I was supposed to meet the director. You see, I used to be a low budget model. Then, I got a job offer to be an actress on an upcoming major motion picture. So I accepted. This was my dream after all.
"Miss DuPont! I'm glad you have arrived. Now, have you read that script I sent you?" A middle-aged man came trotting towards me. It took a lot for me to concentrate on the words he was saying since he was practically stumbling on every single prop messily laid out on the floor, and I was stifling my laughter.
"Y-yes, I have." I nodded as he handed me a copy of the script(not that I didn't have one already, but oh well) and guided me towards the rest of the set.
"So before we start the shooting and all, I would like to introduce you to the rest of the crew. This movie basically only has two main characters, since the girl is a wallflower and will only have one friend that rarely appears on screen. The male character will be a popular jock, you know that cliché plot." The director was walking like a donkey on crack. Did something crawl up his buttocks or something?
So far, I have met Drew (the director, his name is Andrew but he insisted on the nickname), and Jake. Jake was going to be my supposed friend in the movie, and I was supposed to be in this love triangle thing in the movie with Jake... he seems fine with it. We got along very well.
Then came the rest of the crew, each of them bursting through the door. Drew made a tsk-ing noise as he chastised the late comers. As he was in the middle of the speech, the door to the set opened and in came that man. Max Irons. I mentally groaned. He had to be here as well, didn't he?
Drew clapped his hands in excitement. "Ah, here is the other half of the movie!" Oh no, please don't tell me this is real.
"Max Irons, popular jock and main character, my man!" Drew trotted once more towards him, but falling miserably halfway. The crew erupted in laughter. I did a face palm as Max noticed me. Then, he started approaching me.
"Stalking now, aren't we?" Max's stupid irresistible voice taunted me. I think I was starting to have a new nemesis. I scowled at him.
"I have a job here."
"Oh really?"
"Yeah."
Drew got up and started jogging towards us. "Max, I see you have met your co-star in the movie. Her name is-"
"Nicole DuPont, I know. We met earlier at the café." I nodded in agreement.
"Okay. Now that that's settled let's get to briefing."
We were led into the midst of the set. All the props and the background were being set up, and the people with the lighting were having issues from the looks of it. Everyone was yelling. I was standing beside Max. I felt sparks and my heart fluttered, for what reason, I don't know.
Then Drew started talking. He explained us the activities of the day, and how it would probably be the same routine tomorrow. He then shoved each of us into our dressing rooms.
Crowds of stylists and assistants dressed me up and did my makeup. By the time I was done, I felt irritated and genuinely bored. Makeup was tedious! Although I could definitely see my flaws being covered up, it seemed as if they did nothing to my face. So what took them that long?
Then, they pushed me towards a circle of four chairs, three of which were occupied by Drew, Jake, and Max. I sat on the only seat left, which was by Jake and Max.
