Vampire Academy (school for the supernatural )

The First Day

"Don't open the door!!" I screamed

My dad looked at me with a smile

"what are you talking about I need to open the door if we want pizza"

The door flew open and the vampire bared its fangs and went for my fathers throat. I tried to move but I couldn't, I felt frozen as if I were paralyzed.

"DAD!!!" I screamed tears streaming down my face. I blinked the tears away and when I opened my eyes I was outside. I heard my mothers scream, I tried to run towards the house but I kept getting further and further until my sister screamed.

I stopped, the vampire stood right in front of me smiling maniacally with blood running down her mouth...

I woke up with sweat dripping down my face. I reached over the bed to grab my phone, 7:00 it read. I got up and headed to the bathroom, I looked at my self in the mirror my eyes were glowing red I blinked and they were back to normal I shook my head, what the hell was happening to me.

I heard snoring outside the bathroom door I peeked my head out and saw Victoria sprawled messily on the the other bed across from mine. I smiled and shook my head she always slept like that ever since I could remember it's probably why I hated sleeping with her at sleepovers.

"Vick wake up we gotta get ready for school"

She moaned and shooed me away. I pushed her off the bed and heard a thud

"Ow what the hell Naomi I'm up, I'm up!"

She got up her hair in a frenzy, she sluggishly walked to the bathroom and closed the door I heard the water turn on in the shower. I sat on my bed and touched the locket on my neck that my mother gave me. It's been a week since the murder so I was still shaken up about it. I wiped the tears away and headed to the closet to get my mind off it. For some reason putting clothes together calms me down and helps me stay distracted.
I decided to go with a lime green sleeveless top and floral shorts, I grabbed my lace flats and floral kimono and headed out the door. Since classes didn't start till 8:30 I decided to take a small tour around the campus.

When I got out side I felt a burning sensation all over my body. I sharply inhaled through my teeth

"Ow!" I looked at my arm and saw that it was turning bright red and it was peeling. I went back to the dormitory and rushed back to my room I closed the door and headed to the bathroom.

"Hey! Naomi I'm naked here!" Victoria squealed

I ignored her and put my arm under the faucet and turned on the water, instant relief flooded throughout my body, I turned off the water and grabbed a hand towel and put it over my arm.

Victoria got out of the shower and grabbed a towel to put around her.

"Hey are you ok, let me see"

I removed the towel and saw that it was no longer red but just peeling, all the pain I felt on my body was gone.

"How'd you get a sunburn?" Victoria questioned

I shook my head "I don't know I just walked out for like a minute and all of a sudden it felt like I had third degree burns all over my body."

Victoria walked out of the bathroom and grabbed a bottle off of her bed, she threw the bottle to me.

"Here this is like the strongest sunscreen I have its like SPF 1 billion or something!" She laughed.

I smiled "thanks Vick" I undressed myself and put two coatings of sunscreen all over my body just to be safe I quickly put my clothes on and grabbed my backpack, by that time Victoria was already out the door.
