Chapter 5

Cammie's POV

I was in the chamber chained to the wall again with Bex chained on the other wall across from me. But this time she was awake. Except it was like i wasn't even there. That's when Preston walked into the room. "What do you want now?" Bex asked disgust at his presence. "Oh, me? I'm just here to make sure Grant hadn't killed you yet. I heard you to got in a fight. Except it wasn't much of a fight considering he basically just hit the remote's button twice and knocked you out." Said Preston with another smirk. Wait, Grant is here too? And he's on Preston's side? Poor Bex because Grant can be pretty brutal in any fight and having one of those remotes means he automatically wins. " And it seem that he said you ain't looking so well." Said Preston, buy this time he seemed concerned. I think he feels that way because the results of the remotes are killing Bex quicker than he had wanted. Then i looked at Bex. She was really pale and had a grey streak in her black hair. Her golden eyes weren't as bright as they use too be. I felt a pain in my chest as i watched how my best friend was dieing all because i was careless on a mission. Bex tried to speak but someone had pressed the button on one of the remotes and she screamed. Then Grant walked in holding a remote. "You fool! Can't you see we can't use these remotes anymore?" They're killing he too quickly." Preston yelled at Grant with anger. " So then do you want me to change the liquid to something less deadly? Or fix the remotes to do a smaller amount?" Grant asked Preston. "Both" Preston responded simply. He then instead of using the remote, put a sleeping patch on Bex's left leg. She then fell asleep peacefully. I woke up to Zach shaking me by the shoulders. "Bex." I said instantly. " I know. She's dieing and quickly at that. But don't worry, i have something that will bring her back to full health." Then he showed me a small bottle filled with a pink liquid. " Its a health potion. I keep it with me always in case i or anyone else aka Bex needs it." He said with a smile. I smiled back. Just the Liz and Macey walked into the room with a big toothy smile on both their faces. " Guess who found the location of Blackthorn!?!" Said Macey in a sing song voice. Liz raised her hand proudly. We all jumped to our feet, packed our stuff, caught a taxi, and headed off to the Blackthorn Institute in Spain and go save Bex once and for all.
