"I'm gonna miss you Ava. Please don't forget me," I hug my best friend tightly as I stand in front of my dad's car.

"Zoe, I could never forget you. I won't have any one take your place as my best friend!" She pulls back and looks at me. There are tears in her eyes but a smile on her face, she was truly happy for me.

"Same here."

After a final squeeze, my dad calls me over and I get into the front seat. I wave at Ava until she disappears from sight, and soon, my home town vanishes behind the hills.

Adam and Jack said their goodbyes after the Talent Show, but Ryan left before I had the chance to talk to him. I wanted to tell him everything before I left, but he was gone.

The car ride only lasted four hours, before we pulled off the highway and into a large city. Skyscrapers towered over our car and people bustled down the streets. It was like a little bit of everything, every race, architecture, style, was all built into this beautiful city. My dad finally pulled up to two large buildings. One labeled Beethoven Academy of Music, the other labeled Housing. It was almost like a boarding school, except I wanted to be here.

My dad entered the first building to settle my admission while I piled my little luggage onto a cart. I pushed it towards the Housing building and my dad joined me.

"Well, here is your schedule, activity schedule, school calendar, room number, and map of the school," my dad said as he placed a packet of papers on top of my suitcases.

"Thank you Dad," I say, hugging him.

"You deserve this Darling," he says as he turns back to face the second building. My father doesn't know it but his pet name just killed me. My thoughts immediately flew back to Ryan. God I missed seeing him happy.

"Zoe, are you coming?" My dad beckons me and I push the cart into the Housing building. We walk down the halls until we reach room 37B. I push open the door to reveal another girl standing directly in front of me. She had chocolate brown hair the reached her lower back, and hazel eyes. Her skin was extremely tan and you could tell she had slight Spanish heritage.

"Hi! I'm Elizabeth!" She grabs me and pulls me into a hug, "You must be Zoe!"

"Hi, that's me," I pull back and smile at her.

"Well, Zoe, I'll be leaving now. I'm in town for tonight but I'll be leaving in the morning. I guess I'll see you on the weekends," my dad says as he pulls me in for a hug.

"Bye dad, and thank you," I say. He winks at me and then retreats back down the hallway.

"Time to unpack!" Elizabeth squeals, pulling me into the room. We have two beds, both single, on opposite sides of the room. We pick beds and start dividing the space, unpacking clothes, and other belongings.

"How come you're not already unpacked, it's the middle of the school year?" I ask.

"I lived in a singular room, but they try to save those for special guests. So when you transferred, they moved me here with you!" She chirps.

"What do you play?" I ask Elizabeth as I put the sheets on my bed.

"I sing, play the violin, and play cello. How about you?" She responds.

"I sing, play piano, and play a little guitar,"

"Wow, I've always wanted to play guitar,"

We laugh and finish in our room. We make our way down to the courtyard to socialize with the other students. Elizabeth introducing me to the people she knew. And I was in love with the Beethoven Academy of Music.
