"Bye Mom," I waved to her retreating back before slamming the front door shut. Jake ran past, a large tub of ice balanced in his arms as he tried to set up for the party that would be starting in less than ten minutes. Our parents were heading into the city to spend some time with Juliet, but they had left later than planned.

"Help me," Jake whined as he ran past again, his curls messy and his pants hanging off his non-existent hips.

"No, I need to get dressed." I rolled my eyes as he flipped me off. I hated parties and would have shut this whole operation down if Niall hadn't looked so excited for it.

I hurried upstairs and quickly dressed in a pair of high waist shorts and a sheer black shirt, twisting my hair into a sleek bun. I hastily attempted to make my face presentable, but was cut off by a knock at my bedroom door. Keeping the mascara brush running over my lashes I opened the door to Niall's nervous face.

"Can I come in?" he bit his bottom lip adorably.

"Yeah, yeah," I ushered him inside the room and shut the door before going back to the mirror. "What's up?"

He perched his tiny body on the edge of my vanity and toyed with the hem of the tight red polo he was wearing. "I'm not sure how I'm supposed to act at a party."

I fixed my blush as I contemplated his statement. I usually avoided Jake's wild parties so, in all honesty, I didn't really know what to do either. I shrugged, "Just stick with Jake, he'll introduce you to people."

"What about you?" he twisted around so he could see himself in the mirror and made a face, his blue eyes squinting shut and his mouth opening wide.

"What about me?" I dumped the makeup back in my bag and shoved it into the top drawer. I squirted some perfume on and checked myself out in the mirror one last time. It wasn't great, but it wasn't terrible.

"What are you going to do?" Niall leaned closer to me, his nose gently brushing my shoulder as he inhaled. "You smell really good."

"Thank you," I laughed slightly. "And I don't know what I'm going to do."

"Niall! Mona!" Jake's voice echoed throughout the house. "Get down here."

We trampled downstairs to see Jake squatting in the kitchen, hundreds of ice cubes strewn around him. How we hadn't heard the crash I had no idea.

"I made a mess," he pouted, the downturn of his full lips contradicting the bright light of his green eyes.

"Yes you did," I grabbed a mop from the closet and began to clean the quickly melting ice. "Sometimes I swear you're twelve, not nineteen."

"Age is but a number my dear sister," Jake gave me a sloppy kiss on the cheek before planting one on Niall as well. Then he skipped out of the room.

I dried up the floor then took Niall by the hand and pulled him out back, where guests were already beginning to arrive. Jake was known for his crazy parties, but everyone knew that if they stepped foot inside the house, they died. Luckily the backyard, pool, and guesthouse were perfect for partying.

"Rule number one," I dropped Niall's hand, "do not bring anyone in the house. Rule two, do not do anything Jake says if he is drunk. Rule three, no puking in the pool. And rule number four, if you're going to hook up with someone make sure you lock the door."

Niall nodded seriously, then ran a hand through his blonde tipped locks, effectively resulting in an extremely hot sex hair look.

"Now go," I nudged him towards Jake, who was already shirtless and nursing a beer. "Have fun."
