"One of them just needs to be in love with someone else," I heard Jake's muttering as I shuffled into the kitchen the next morning. "Then everything will be all right."

"What are you talking about?" I yawned as I surveyed the scene. Jake was dressed in nothing but a pair of boxers, his curly hair a wild mess, and seemed to be carrying on a conversation with a pot holder.

"The play that is our dear sister's namesake of course," he gave me a small smile as I grabbed the box of Lucky Charms from the cabinet. "If only Romeo or Juliet had loved another, no one would have gotten hurt."

"Yeah and there also would have been no play." After dumping my cereal in a bowl I realized I had forgotten the milk. I got up to get it and watched as Jake shoved his hand into my breakfast. "Jake, I was gonna eat that."

"You still can," he shoved his handful of pilfered cereal into his mouth. "I washed my hands this morning."

"Whatever," I grabbed a new bowl and indicated that Jake could have the other. He began eating happily as I collapsed at the table across from him.

"Zayn's coming over today," his words tripped over the cereal in his mouth. "In like five minutes."

"Great," I poured some milk into my bowl.

"Why the sarcasm?"

"Why the announcement of your friend's arrival? You never do that," I countered.

"He's everyone's friend. And I was telling you so you could change."

I glanced down at my pajamas. I was wearing a white tank top and red plaid pajama bottoms. I shrugged, "Why? He's seen me in pajamas before."

Jake let out a breath of hot air and glared at me as if my response was the wrong one.

"What?" I spooned a bunch of marshmallows into my mouth.

"Zayn's hot," Jake leaned forward on his elbows and I had a feeling he had been preparing this little speech for a bit.

"Yeah, so?"

"Zayn doesn't think you're insane."

"Nice of him," I refilled my cereal and cocked an eyebrow. "Please just get to your point."

Jake visibly deflated, "But I have a whole speech planned. Counterarguments and everything."

"Just get to the point," I repeated. Once Jake got going there was no stopping him. He had to be cut off before he could even begin.

"IthinkyoushouldgoonadatewithZayn," his words came out tumbled and in one breath, as if he excepted me to murder him with a steak knife after hearing his suggestion.

"Do you?" I finished off my cereal, taking my time before answering him. "No."

"Why not Mona?" Jake batted his eyes in his best attempt to look adorable. "It would be fun."

"I know what you're doing," I got up and deposited my dishes in the sink. "You're trying to hook me up with someone else so I'll forget about Niall.

"Niall told you what happened, right

"Yes," I sighed. After Niall's revelation about the memories he had come upstairs and shared with me. I decided to keep it to myself that I had overheard the entire conversation. "And I'm not trying to steal him away, it's his decision."

"You can help make that decision a little easier," Jake grabbed something he was sitting on and held up the two tickets. "Yankees game tonight. You and Zayn."

"No," I repeated firmly as the doorbell rang. I hurried out of the kitchen and wretched open the heavy wooden door. "Hey Zayn."

"Hey Annie," he smiled lazily. "Jake said he had a surprise for me or something."
