Tick. Tock. Tick. Tock.

I open my eyes.

I'm back in the classroom again.

What am I doing back here?

I was just at the bench...

What happened?

The phone in my pocket.

My phone!

I quickly took it out and opened it. That's when I saw it:

March 10, 2014

6:14 PM

What?!

I'm back?

What's going on?

That's when I looked next to me.

Samantha.

Samantha was sitting next to me, paying attention in class.

What?

What is she doing here? She's supposed to be absent today.

That's when she looked at me.

"Jonah, are you okay? You look like you've seen a ghost." Her voice was quiet yet warm.

"W-what are you doing here?" I whispered.

"Me?" Samantha asked.

I nodded my eyes wide.

"What do you mean?" She looked confused, tilting her head.

"Y-you're supposed to be absent today..." I whispered as quietly as I could.

"What? We came to school together—what do you mean?" Samantha asked, even more confused.

"Plus, you know I'm never absent," Samantha added with a smile.

Everything felt unreal.

But the memories of what had happened earlier that day started flooding my mind—me and Samantha meeting at the train station, both coming to school, being in class, memories of lunch...

What?

Did all of this really happen?

My mind is racing.

Samantha seemed to notice and spoke again.

"Jonah, everything's okay." Her voice was comforting.

My chest began to lighten.

That's when the professor started announcing about the finals again...

"The upcoming finals are approaching! I advise everyone to start studying for them, whether in groups or alone—I don't care."

"So start organizing your things now," the professor added, walking out of the classroom.

Every word repeated exactly as it had before.

Then our classmates stood up, but unlike earlier, instead of talking with each other, they quickly flooded Samantha, asking her to join their group study.

Meanwhile, I stood at the side, trying to figure out what was happening.

Why am I back here? What happened?

Questions flood my mind. Just like Samantha's second day of school, everything felt surreal.

I remembered our classmates who had kept staring at me—the one with the bow in her hairband.
