"What do you mean I can't go back?" Patrick asks, in outrage.
"She can get out of situations like that," Steve said. "I did not make this offer to you and for all I know..."
Steven ran on a rant much to Tangton's annoyance. Tangton hates rants. Patrick liked hearing rants and lectures; they were like ammunition to Patrick that he would never run out of. Patrick listens in to the rant posed by Steve intently. Patrick nods at some points here and there but not them all on a few occasions.
Patrick sighs.
"Why are you so confident that they won't kill her?" Patrick asks.
"Because they won't," Steve said.
"Wish I could believe you," Patrick said.
Patrick left the room through the open doorway. Tangton sighs, leaning against the corner to the room. Tangton takes his back off the wall taking his hands out of his pockets.
"He is just mad," Tangton said. "I will make sure he doesn't go over his head."
Tangton left the room.
Steve sighs, sitting down into the chair.
Steve grew to doubt if picking out the worst criminals was the right choice to give Ant-Girl. The very driving force of them wanted to go back for Ant-Girl disregarding what the core mission is. A woman who can speak through her thoughts, a man capable of being a thief producing fog where ever he goes under his will, and a man capable of changing his appearance to anything that he wishes. The only thing that set Patrick Andrew different to the two other members is because he wasn't born in this world.
Did he make the right decision?
So far no new threats have been sent through transmission.
Ant Girl's role in annoying the rival is probably working.
"Am I annoying?" Ant Girl once asked Steve.
"No," Steve said.
Ant Girl frowned.
"Rogers, be honest with me," Ant Girl said. "I hate to be annoying to everyone."
"....Only with your obsession of Loki left on everything you touch is annoying," Steve said.
Ant Girl beamed with a smile.
"Thank you," Ant Girl said, happily.
Steve found it odd how Ant Girl was happy-go-lucky even with the dampest of all responses. It was nice to see someone different handling these kind of replies with ease. Steve often caught himself wondering how she handled it and why she can be so happy about brutally honest replies. In a way Steve found himself coming up with a solution; she had dealings with negative comments long ago.
It seemed logical.
Our scene goes into the hallway.
"Stop following me,fog man," Patrick said, with a sneer.
"Hey, someone has to make sure you don't get yourself killed!" Tangton said.
"You know people like me don't get killed off easily," Patrick said, sounding annoyed.
"But still," Tangton said, getting in Patrick's way. "I once knew a man like you and he died."
"Nice," Patrick said, sarcastically.
