Mom invites Marin over to the house. No ifs, ands, or buts. (FN) is nervous as all hell but has to go with it. Marin is over the moon and comes over.

(FN) is trying to stay composed and so is Marin who is doing a better job of it. The affection is closer than they realize. With Mom figuring out if this is more than a client, she pushes the buttons to find out.

Chapter 10 - Winning

~~~~~
(You know, it's funny how Japan culturally is one place where they say they don't want to show public affection. That said, no wonder why anime/manga leave us on cliffhangers all the time.)
It was school the morning after Marin had dinner at (FN)'s. Above the shop and up to the home it was just the two of them and Rina his mother. He now realized that he was sort of developing the feelings for Marin and partially accepting it. Therefore, treading lightly from here on out. Trying to figure out how to handle Marin, his mother, and how work happened here going out.
As he sat at his desk printing and going over his portfolio, he was trapped in thought. Something came up where the last recent photos that were the best were Marin herself. Not because of recent biased or his crush getting stronger, it was her traits. Posture, smile, charm, hair, just everything. She was made to model and the camera was very good to her.
A classmate looked over. "Dude that a gallery of babes or something?"
"My portfolio of clients as references to my work. I am thinking about a smaller one to carry around soon so I can keep it in my backpack all the time because it's getting heavy." He replied.
"So it is a babe gallery." He sighed happily. "Lucky."
"She's my client..." He huffed.
"What do you have here (FN)?" Marin walked over.
"My photographer portfolio needs updating. I grabbed a ton of photos and looking at some of the best shots and going into depth. It's just a thought for sometime soon." He replied to her.
"I wonder if I will have one or two." She pondered.
"Woah. You shoot her?" Gasped a classmate.
"Yeah. She models stuff. And she buys from the fabric shop. At the shop I get photoshoots scheduled and I shoot for the inventory as well."
"Oh yeah, that why we don't have a sewing club anymore? Because of the shop?" He asked.
"Yeah. Guess so. It was easy to have all the materials right there and just get expenses done later. You know?"
"So you got babes all over the shop. Lucky bastard." He chuckled.
"Hey. My mother, aunt, and cousin run that shop. And I live upstairs of the said shop. You learn how to respect them. Even if I did like one I would have to take it elsewhere. I want to capture photos of people at their best. That's what I do. That person guy or girl. That person is dressing up and they look good. I want them to feel good. Let them reflect peacefully and with a smile. A memory for those. Happy times. Something to stay forever. That's what I do. My passion is making people happy. This is who I am. This is what I'm good at. Is it a career? I don't know. But I like this. Who judges what's next? Only me."
A few classmates stopped what they were doing and looked over towards him. While some were focused on goofing off and that's fine because it's only high school. But for someone that is helping people find their purpose while he found his own? That's deep. That's real.
