Benjamin
The sun has beaten down and the clouds are already pink, the color of the ocean mirroring the sunset. I walked hand in hand with Jasmine, our slippers held on the other hands as we talked and walked by the shore.
"You can't just tell Oliver to man up, he's his own person. He'll eventually get it," Jasmine argued with a laugh, defending Oliver for being pathetic to ask a particular girl out he just met during college. "Who would have thought that a girl would actually like him?"
"He's too pathetic to ask a girl out. I wouldn't be surprised to see Leila asking him out before he even manned up."
"Hey!" Jasmine slapped my arm playfully. "Don't talk bad about Oliver!"
"Okay, enough about Oliver," I laughed before laying our slippers on the ground. Leaning down, I captured Jasmine's lips in mine, our lips moving in sync as I wrapped my arms on her waist and hers on my neck.
Pulling away, I rested my forehead against hers, giving her anther peck on the lips. "Have I told you you look beautiful today?"
"Yes, yes you did," she giggled.
She was wearing a white, off the shoulder dress with a train that stops right below the back of her knees. After constant begging (and a little bit of suggestive comments), I finally made her not use make up for today at least. Her natural, bare face was much more beautiful than her caked up face.
"What's that?" Jasmine raised a brow, looking past me. "Benjamin!" She gasped.
A picnic was set up with candles lit up, formed into a big heart around the picnic. Jasmine grabbed my hands before kissing me again. "Are you doing this because you want to be alone before our friends come?" A giggle escaped her lips.
"Well, I don't want my girlfriend to be taken away from me, especially when the others are coming."
Leading her to the picnic, I started to set up the sandwiches and wine glasses. "Look over there," I jerked my head towards the sea, where the sun is starting to set.
"Oh, that's beautiful," She gazed. Leaning her head on my shoulder. I felt her wrapping her arms on my waist. "What's the occasion, huh? Why are you so sweet today?" She asked, kissing my neck and biting my ear softly.
"Do I have to have a reason to show how much I love my girlfriend?" I kissed her temple, giving her a wine glass. I pushed her towards me, her back on my chest and her head on my neck as we watched the sun set and start to eat our sandwiches while sipping through wine.
"Thank you," she kissed my cheek gingerly as she looked up to me. Pulling away and sitting in front of me, cupping my cheeks with her hands. "I know we're not spending as much time as we wanted to, and I really appreciate that you are trying to make the most of it."
"Come here," I stood up and motioned her to the edge of the shore. I hugged her from behind, resting my chin on her shoulder.
"Do you remember the first time I saw you?" Jasmine asked. "Your eyes were really blue."
"And you looked really innocent," I kissed her neck. We both laughed.
"Are you saying I'm not innocent now?"
"Well, the stuff we do at the bedroom doesn't exactly seem innocent." Jasmine slapped her hand on my arm. "You're a pretty wild girl in the bed," I kissed her neck again, earning a gasp from her lips.
As the laughing stopped, I hugged Jasmine tighter. "I know you said that your career is more important, and I really respect that. And I know I'll be at the bottom of your priorities, but I just want you to know that I really love you, and I can't imagine a life without you.
