Jasmine C.

Walking to the studio, I quickly went into the practice room, since I realized I have some mistakes on my music book and would like to go through it again before recording it this afternoon.

I sighed when I saw Benjamin on the phone- probably talking to his girlfriend, not that I care- with a slight grin on his face. He quickly said goodbye when he saw me walking towards the piano.

"Hey, Jasmine." He greeted with a small smile on his face.

"Hi." I said with a grimaced grin, not in the mood of Benjamin talking.

"About yesterday-"

"There are some notes I changed for the song." I quickly interrupted him, writing notes down.

"Jasmine, I-"

"Can we quickly go over it before we record it later?" I asked, interrupting him again, as I looked him in the eyes with a suggestion face.

Benjamin gulped before nodding his head. I gave him a false smile before playing the notes.

Throughout the song, I yawned, messing the notes up. Benjamin looked at me questioningly. "I stayed up late to fix the song." I explained before playing the notes again.

"Do you want to take a break?"

"No, I'm fine." I answered.

On queue, Ben came in with an exciting grin on his face. I grinned back as he hugged me, kissing me on the cheek before he scooted next to me on the piano stool. "You look tired." He frowned.

"Cause I am." I answered.

"Aha, good thing I brought some coffee." He said before placing a thermos on my hands.

"Jasmine doesn't like coffee." Benjamin stated. I stopped as I was about to sip my beverage and looked at Benjamin confusingly.

"Excuse me?" Ben asked.

"Jasmine doesn't like coffee." Benjamin repeated. "She likes tea and milk."

"Well I know she likes tea and milk, but she mostly likes coffee." Ben stated, giving me confirmation. "I always give her coffee. She doesn't like tea anymore, though."

"Ben's right." I said. I held up the thermos. "Tea isn't my thing anymore."

"What changed?" He asked curiously.

"The bland taste isn't as relaxing as I thought it should be." I answered. I looked back at Ben and gave him a hug. "Thanks, by the way, you're a lifesaver." I giggled on his chest.

"No biggie." He grinned at me after pulling back. He stood up and gave me a kiss on the cheek. "I'll see you later!" He exclaimed before leaving the room.

I grinned and drank the coffee, filling my taste buds. I could feel some energy rising in me as I sipped more. I don't really drink caffeine, I drink decaf coffees, which makes it a whole lot different.

"Let's continue?" I asked, placing the thermos on the piano. Benjamin nodded and started to practice the song again.

I sighed in relief when Benjamin and I finished the song. Drinking the last sips of my coffee, I thanked Benjamin before standing up and making my way to the recording studio. Benjamin came up to me, catching up on the hallways.
