Saturday...
I'm still not aware of where I really am, 'Jim' has popped in a few times, placed by the door what he calls 'food.' I wouldn't feed that to a dog! I'm so hungry it's unreal..but I REFUSE to eat....that.
My mind was spinning .
I had a plan. I'd found a little tennis ball under the bed in the room. It might not do much, buy it's the only thing I've got.
Jim came back in the door, he'd learnt to only open it enough to fit the food in.
"Jim!" I called across the room to him.
"yes, my child?" he answered.
He'd taken a habit of calling me 'his child' the few times he's come in, I disliked him...alot.
"can I ask you a question?" I said quietly.
"pardon I carn't quite hear you, dear."
"can I ask you ---" I trailed off, speaking even quieter.
Jim walked forward a tiny bit, my plan was working. He had his foot in the door. The huge metal door probably weighed a ton! Jim was a very frail man, he didn't look guard material if you ask me.
"can I ask you a question?" I asked again, a little louder so he could hear it.
"ask away." he replied.
"why is there a tennis ball in here?"
"there's a tennis ball in heee---" before he could finish I threw the ball with all my power. Luckily it was an accurate throw. It hit him right on the nose, I could see blood dripping from his nose. Before I had time to thunk I'm instincs kicked in. I ran for the door. I grabbed it, I was correct, it weighed alot all right!
"I guess that's why!" I said laughing.
Now I just has to find my way out...
There was a long thin corridor that I followed down. At the end of the corridor there was a door, similar to mine. I could smell the grim smell of sweat. I leant down so as whoever was in that room could not see me. Just as I did this, I glanced up at the window out of intrest. All I could see was a small boy hunched up on In a little corner all to himself. There are others here as well? ...
I kept on following the corridor, I couldn't get the image of the boy, all hunched up, in a dark corner of a room. His eyes are what scared me the most. He had bags under them. His pupils had shrunk to bout the size of a pinhead. What had 'they' done to him? I don't even know who they are. Presumably Jim wasn't the 'main' person here, he must of just been the food 'giverouter' what would someone need with kids? Kids that have supposedly caused crimes..
In front of me my heart started beating faster as I could spot a small wooden door. I raced up to it not wanting to waste any more time! I pushed it and it opened. Surely it can't be that easy! I breathed in the fresh air as I walked on. No alarms, no guards..no nothing.
As I walked on I caught sight of a delivery van. It had at least 500 boxes piled on the back. Each box had a separate logo on, the logo read 'the menace drug' in big bold bubble writing. I didn't want to hang around for to long, so I took a mental not of the name and ran over to a nearby tree. I waited and glanced over to the van. It's Jim! I saw him walking over to the van. He handed over a small white envelope. I decided I would DEFINTLEY go to the library to research this. Oh yeah and the reason I came to London. To find my Aunt. Well that plan went down the drain. I made another mental not (more like promise) I would try and find her. I'll know her when I see her, I just know it.
There's so much on my mind that I can't think.
I strolled off through the long blades of grass. It could of looked like scene out of a movie, exept my life isn't that perfect.
But at least for now I was free.
