A/N

It's funny because every time I start a new chapter, I forget to add an A/N! So I have to go through, edit all the stuff I already wrote and then put the authors not in. I don't  know, I think I just need to leave memos for myself.

Any who, this chapter is gonna be angry. I hope none of you thought it was gonna be all rainbows and butterflies as soon as they met. After all, they are basically each other's arch nemesis. So yes, tears will be shed and heart will pour out, but whatever.

At least Tristan will be there to lighten the mood.

Thank! ~TOAOEB

*Maysen's POV*

Staring up at him, my heart drops to my stomach and the pain in my leg feels like nothing compared to the pain in my heart.  Nicholas Jones was just proclaimed my mate; a cold blooded killer and ruthless man is my mate. How is this possible? Jessee was suppose to be my mate, we felt it.

The wolves around us slowly disappear into the trees, but I know they are only so far away just in case I plan to kill this Alpha. I attempt to stand up and he moves to my side, nudging me upward.

"I got it!" I snap, pushing him away.

Hauling myself up, I wince at the bite on my leg. Whoever had done it was higher up in the ranks because the teeth marks are so big. I lean heavily against the tree, unable to shift and unable to stand on both legs. I don't bother to cover myself because I honestly don't care what he thinks of me. I've got stretch marks on my belly and, even though I use to be self conscious about it, I realized that I kinda like them. They remind me of pink paint, brushed across my skin, and that makes me smile.

Even though it would be the logical thing to do, my wolf won't let me reject our mate, telling me that we have to at least give it a month. Tears well in my eyes as I think of all of the horrible things that he's done. I don't care about his past, he shouldn't have let it corrupt his future, our future.

I look down at him and he grunts, cocking his head to the side, his gaze focused on something behind us. Following his eyes, I see a wolf with a large t-shirt in his mouth and I get a whiff of Jessee's smell. Reaching for the shirt, I nod a silent thanks and the wolf walks over to the black beast before me.

Sliding into the shirt, I suddenly felt all wrong. His scent normally comforts me, but now it feels like poison against my skin. I look up and see no one there, not even the Alpha.

"Nicholas?" I whisper softly, his name rolling off my tongue like honey.

"No need to be so formal, love." his deep voice chuckles as he walks out form behind a tree and smiles falsely at me.

He sniffs the air and growls,

"Take that shirt off now."

"No. I'm wearing this." I argue, my wolf whining, desperate to get the fabric off of our skin.

He rips the shift off his body, his face pained as he searches for the right words, holding the shirt out to me.

"Don't argue with me. I am now your Alpha."

I glare dagger at him, wrapping my arms around myself tightly.

"We are equals, dip shit; me Luna, you Alpha." I mimic a caveman, pounding my chest for emphasis.

My wolf yips in happiness as I just admitted out loud that we are to be Luna of Bloodwind now. Panic rises in my chest as a thought comes to mind.

"That was a nice magic trick you did back there, but where is my pack?"
