Taehyung was growing more and more restless with every passing second, his patience stretched thin like a fraying thread ready to snap. His chest burned with the desperate urge to leave this place behind, to tear Yn away from the chaos and finally have her all to himself.

He had endured so much already—days, weeks of emptiness without her, a torment far worse than any physical wound. Now that he had found her again after such relentless struggle, after chasing shadows and bleeding through obstacles, he couldn’t bear another moment of delay. Couldn’t he be allowed to have her in peace, just once? Was that too much to ask from a world that had already taken so much from him?

That gnawing impatience was also the reason why Barron’s end had been so quick, so mercilessly swift. If Taehyung had truly given in to his darker impulses, Barron wouldn’t have died with just a bullet to the chest and another to the skull. No—he would have been dragged into hell alive, tortured with a cruelty so severe that even Lucifer himself might have pitied him.

Taehyung would have broken him apart, piece by piece, savoring every scream until death would have seemed like a blessing. But Taehyung didn’t have the time, nor the desire, to indulge in such sadistic satisfaction. Barron wasn’t worth the moments that could be better spent holding Yn. So he ended it quickly, because every second stolen by that man was a second stolen from him and her.

He couldn’t wait anymore. His body moved on instinct, fueled by hunger and longing. Without hesitation, he took her hand, his grip firm and possessive, and pulled her with him into the SUV.

The world outside, with all its soldiers, blood, and politics, ceased to matter the instant that door shut behind them. In that enclosed space, there was no war, no enemy, no threat—just the two of them, finally together.

The silence was broken not by words, but by action. The moment the door clicked shut, Taehyung’s self-control unraveled. He grabbed Yn and pulled her against him, crushing her into a powerful, almost desperate embrace. His arms locked around her like iron chains, as if afraid that if he loosened even slightly, she would disappear again, dissolve into nothing but another haunting dream.

He buried his face against her shoulder, inhaling her scent as though he could breathe her into his very soul. Every fiber of his being trembled with relief, hunger, and obsession. In that moment, he wasn’t a fighter, a killer, or a leader. He was just a man who had finally reclaimed the woman who made his world worth enduring.

This stunned Yn. For a moment, she could only stare at him in disbelief, her lips parting as if she wanted to say something but couldn’t quite find the words. The raw emotion on his face caught her off guard, and it was as though her heart skipped a beat from the intensity of his embrace.

"You have no idea how worried I’ve been for the past weeks!" Taehyung’s voice was heavy with relief, trembling with the weight of everything he had suppressed. He held her tighter, inhaling deeply, drinking in her unique scent as though it were the only thing keeping him grounded. Each breath he took seemed to mend the cracks inside him that had formed during her absence.
