When night finally fell and the sky outside turned a deep shade of indigo, Yn and Taehyung were still at their desks, the glow of multiple monitors reflecting in their focused eyes.

Most of the others had already retreated to their rooms, long asleep by now, but the two of them showed no interest in stopping. Their energy hadn’t dimmed even a little; their posture remained sharp, their eyes alert, as if exhaustion simply didn’t exist for them.

The tray of food beside them had long gone cold—untouched, forgotten. Neither of them had taken even a single bite, too absorbed in their work to notice hunger. Taehyung glanced at the tray and then at Yn, a soft crease forming on his forehead. He was worried about her… about how she pushed herself, how she didn’t know when to stop.

But he held his tongue. He knew himself too well: if she told him to rest, he would ignore that too. They were too similar, too stubborn, too driven. So instead of interrupting her, he made the silent decision to match her pace. If she worked through the night, then he would work through the night with her. The only thing he could truly offer was his presence—his support—fighting at her side instead of trying to slow her down.

Finally, after hours of relentless searching and cross-referencing data, their combined efforts paid off. Yn’s fingers froze mid-typing as something flashed across the screen. Her eyes widened. Her breath hitched. And then she gasped, a triumphant cry tearing out of her chest.

“This is it!

Taehyung immediately leaned closer, his shoulder brushing hers as he examined the screen. A proud, undeniably relieved smile spread across his face, the kind that reflected not just achievement—but trust in her brilliance.

“You finally found it.”

“Yes… we did it.” Yn exhaled deeply, the weight of tension leaving her for a moment as satisfaction washed over her. But she didn’t stop. Her spine straightened, her fingers flexed above the keyboard, and her eyes sharpened once again with renewed determination.

“Now,” she said, taking a resolute breath, “I will hack into their server.”

“Why don’t we leave it for tomorrow?” Taehyung said quickly, his voice gentle yet firm as his hand hovered near the keyboard to stop her. He wasn’t scolding her—he was worried. “You haven’t eaten for an entire day, Yn. Your body needs rest. We’ve made incredible progress today, so there’s no need to push yourself any further tonight.”

He spoke calmly, but there was an unmistakable softness in his tone, the kind reserved only for her. The concern in his eyes was more convincing than his words. He wasn’t just thinking about tonight—he was thinking long-term, about how they still had a massive mission ahead and how burnout now could be dangerous.

Yn paused, breathing out a slow, tired sigh. Her mind wanted to continue, but her muscles argued otherwise. She knew he was right. Pushing through extreme fatigue wouldn’t give them accuracy or strength. If anything, it would only weaken them at a crucial moment.
