Chapter Two

As I stared at my reflection in the mirror I couldn't help but feel pleased with how I looked. The new top that Luke brought me fit perfectly. I pulled on my white skinny jeans and heels. As I sat curling my hair, I heard a knock at the door.

"Hey babe." Luke smiled as I glanced at him.

He perched on my bed and watched me closely.

"You're early." I smiled at him.

"I guess I just couldn't stay away." he grinned.

"You really should do something about that Hemmings." I teased him.

"I will." he grinned as he knelt on the ground and tickled me.

"Stop it Luke!" I laughed.

"Make me!" he grinned.

"Just watch the curlers!" I told him.

"Oh yeah I forgot about that." he said instantly stopping.

"Twat." I teased him.

He returned to his original position on the bed and watched me again.

"How do I look?" I asked as I stood up and twirled.

"Stunning." he said intensely.

"Thanks." I smiled.

"I'm a lucky guy." he said as he stood up and took my hand.

"We'd better go." he stated.

"Where are we going?" I asked.

"I've arranged for us to go on a boat trip to try and see some dolphins." he said happily.

"Wow, that sounds awesome!" I exclaimed.

"Hopefully we actually see something." he chuckled.

I smiled as he led me out to his car. As we drove for what felt like miles I couldn't help but feel lucky that I had a guy like Luke in my life. He always treated me like a princess.

Eventually we arrived at the harbour. I quickly stood by the sea wall as we waited to board the boat.

"It's beautiful." I said as I watched the waves rise and fall.

I smiled as I felt Luke take my hand and squeeze it gently.

We stood and gazed out at the ocean together, both of us in our own little world.

"I love you." Luke stated.

"I love you too." I smiled as I leaned up to kiss him.
