As I sat quietly in Ashton's arms, I couldn't stop sobbing. My heart had been completely broken. I'd been so happy, everything was going well with Luke and I until last night. Now everything was ruined. Our relationship had been tainted and would probably never be the same again.

"Do you want to talk about it?" Ashton asked a short while later.

"I don't know what to say." I admitted.

"Sometimes talking about things helps." he prompted.

I nodded and briefly explained to him what had happened. After I had finished he stared at me, completely speechless.

"What are you going to do?" he said eventually.

"I don't know, I loved him so much." I sighed.

"Maybe you need to take some time to get your head around things and then you guys will be able to work through it once the dust has settled." he pointed out.

"I'm not sure if we can ever come back from this." I whispered.

"Relationships can come back from anything if you love the person enough." he stated.

"That depends on the betrayal, sometimes you'll never be able to trust the person again." I said sadly.

My head snapped up as I saw someone walk past my bedroom door. I felt my blood boil as I saw that it was Claire.

"What the hell is she doing here?" I hissed.

"I've no idea." he said, following my line of sight.

I started to stand up but stopped as I felt Ashton grab my wrist.

"What are you doing?" I glared at him.

"Just leave it Pippa." he pleaded as he let go of me.

I ignored him and made my way into the hall.

"Pippa!" I heard Ashton calling after me.

"Hey, Claire!" I called.

She froze on the stairs as she heard my voice. I watched as she slowly turned to face me.

"What?" she snapped.

"Care to explain what happened last night?!" I demanded.

"Well judging by your attitude, I guess Luke's already told you." she sneered.

"You can cut out that tone, you're the one in the wrong here, not me!" I said angrily.

"Whatever." she shrugged.

"You owe me an apology!" I demanded.

"And then I want you to stay out of my life." I added.

"You'll be waiting a long time for an apology." she smirked.

I watched her as she turned and walked away from me. She reached the bottom and turned back to face me.

"Shouldn't you blame your boyfriend instead of me?" she frowned.

"What Luke and I spoke about has nothing to do with you!" I exclaimed.

"Oh but it does, he obviously has feelings for me." she smiled.

"That's not true." I said quietly as I bit my lip to prevent myself from crying.

"Isn't it?" she winked.

"You really are a piece of work." I said quietly.

"I know." she smiled, before turning and walking away.
