Chapter Four

The rest of the day went by fast. And luckily, it was time for dinner. V.A., my last class, was closest to the stairs. So, I had no trouble getting to the lunch room. Wait—during G.L.C. Kassey said that they called it the Great Hall. As I walked into the lunch room, I saw that my friends, and Reiss's, were all sitting down. Danny saw me, and I waved. I jumped up from his seat and ran over to me. I expected him to give me a hug, but he hoisted me and the air and spun me around.

"Hi, Danny?" I said trying not to laugh. "I missed you too, okay?"

"Nah—well, I missed you too, duh. But my sister here is the most powerful person ever! I saw you working your magic during V.P.T.C. You rocked." He smiled.

"Well, I mean--"

"No, you did rock. Everyone stood in class staring at you. Do you know what happened?" He asked.

When I called air, I was in the middle of a windstorm. So my hair came out and now I was just wearing I down. I ran my hand through it. "Uh, yeah. Camille said that I was in the middle of an energy circle. You could fell the gifts at work if you were close enough and you could even like see, and energy circle."

He looked at me. "More than that. You glowed. And I mean glowed. You were shinning like the suns rays. It was, well, beautiful."

"Thanks. I'm going to go grab some dinner. Be back soon." They had the same meal options for dinner, and I choose a sub. I wasn't that hungry, so I didn't take anything else, except some wine. I sat in the middle of Reiss and Danny. "Hey guys."

"Hey, how was your first day?" I thought of the right answer.

"Hmmm. Not horrible, but not the best. It was very overwhelming and confusing." I said through a mouthful of sub.

"What!" Addi yelled.

"Ditto—what!" Jackie added on.

"You found out you are, like, the most powerful anything in the world, and you said overwhelming and confusing?" Addi asked.

"I would have been like , 'ahhhh!'." Jackie laughed.

"Hey, try being turned into a V.I.P., then finding out you're the only twin ever bitten, and then finding out how much power you have. Then we'll see who's excited or nervous." Reiss snapped. "How do you think she feels?"

"Oh," they both said, "sorry."

"Oh, it's okay. Hey, have you guys ever realized how alike they are?" I asked.

They looked at each other, Addi spoke up. "We're cousins. Except, we feel like sisters. Twin sister."

Jackie laughed. "Yeah. Our moms were both twins. They planned to have both our births around the same day. But they didn't plan on them being on the same day, within five hours!"

Addi also laughed. "Yeah. We are half German, half Spanish. So, our dads had an idea."

Jackie grinned. "Yeah. My dad said that we should have our own, unique first names."

Addi smiled. "And my dad said that for our middle names, we should do something half German, half Spanish."

Jackie laughed, again. "But it was our moms who finalized it. They found 'twin' in German and Spanish. Gemolo is in Spanish, zwiling is in German. Then, they found 'half' in both launguages. Halb is in German, mitab is in Spanish. My middle name is Halb Gemolo. It means I'm half twin, but also half Spanish half German because halb is in German, and gemolo is in Spanish."

I nodded. "So Addi, your Mitab Zwiling?" She nodded. "Wow, my middle name's-"

"What?" Reiss asked. "Don't be embarrassed. Mines Rose."
