Chapters 10-12

Chapter Ten

"Whoo!" I screamed as I jumped off the boat into the cool, refreshing water.

Chloe jumped in next with a big splash. "Come on boys!"

I laughed, "yeah! Or are you chickens?"

Danny and Mason looked at each other. "Oh," Danny said, "that's it!"

"One-Two-Three!" They both yelled and jumped in. Me and Chloe both s creamed as we got hit by their humongous splash.

"Nate!" Chloe yelled. "Come on."

I turned around to look at the boat. "Guys. Com-" but the boys werne't there. They were climbing to the tip top of the three story boat. "Oh God." I said as I ducked down into the water so I wouldn't get hit by their splash. I came up for a breath and was immediately sprayed by water.

"Gotcha!" Eddie yelled.

"Hey!" I laughed. I looked around. Nate and Chloe were swimming towards the island, and Danny and Mase were swimming towards the middle of the lake. "Let's go to the island."

' "Hey guys." Nate said.

"Hey." I said. I looked at Chloe and Nate. They looked like they wanted some private time. "Uh, Eddie. Last time I was here I found some really good fruit. Wanna go look for some?"

"Sure," he said. We started walking through the island, looking at the trees and plants. Weirdly, there were palm trees.

"So," I started, "how was the old VPS? Wasn't that where you went?"

He smiled. "Yeah. It was good. It was kind of like a castle. There was a big library that took up the whole third floor. No computers. Just books. The food was good too. But, the rules were strict."

"So are ya happy to be back?" I asked.

He nodded, "yeah. Totally."

It was hard to believe that a little over a day ago I killed something. And that a little over a week ago I became a vampire. But, I was sore from fightin' Lucy. I needed a brake from walking. "Hey, mind if we sit for a bit? I'm a little sore, from, well...."

"Yeah, of course." He said. I sat on the sand and rested my back on a rock. "Are you okay?"

No. "Yeah." I silently groaned. I hated it when this happened. I be upset about something, push it back, and then it'd come up again out of no where. "No," I whispered. Eddide just looked at me with kind eyes. "I do this a lot. I get upset about something, then I manage to push it back, and then out of no where. I meen, I killed something! Killed! Someone who used to be alive. I can't explain how bad I feel." I wiped an escaped tear from my eye. "Addi, Jackie, and Maggie knew her. I just can't explain!" Then I burst into tears. I felt Eddie come up behind be. He slowly sat down and wrapped his arms around me. I continued sobbing and he started rubbing my back. I rested my head on his chest and my sobbing started to soften.

"It's okay. You did what you had to. You did something amazing. You're amazing." He cooed.

I wiped my eyes. "Really?"

He smiled. "Really."

"Thanks." I said. We stood up, still very close to each other. I lookef into his amazing brown eyes. I haven't known him long, but it feels like it. And, I do like him. I think he likes me. Do I kiss him? Eddie answered that for me and he leaned down to kiss me. He wrapped his arms around me and held me so gently like he thought I would brake. We broke apart, but stayed in each others arms. He gently kissed my forehead, then backed up, just a little. I heard someone coming. I tried to step back but-
