Orchards bloom as trees rot
Some are kind and some are not
Tears adorned Ophelia's face
No-one to mourn at her wake
Lilies white, some flowers red
You'd have though to find me dead
No-one left to wash her gown
No one to see her on her way down
Some people play, some people change
A special day, with nothing strange
A pen to ink, a glass vial
Blood stains all over tile
The picture I paint, is not for them
The flowers bloom just as I dreamt
Ophelia where have you gone?
Ophelia we ride at dawn
Even for church got left behind
Not a soul as my You and I
Letters burnt down to a crisp
And now I don't take any risks
My Ophelia we meet again
Dear Ophelia come to them
Oh Ophelia my heart to break
Sweet Ophelia my endless ache
Flowers bloom and then they rot
People are kind and then they aren't
I'll be home and all for naught
No one cares if I fall apart
That's just the way this goes
Ophelia weeps on stones
My beloved, skin and bone
My dear please come home
I thought I could, if I might
Be the star you wish upon tonight
Almost walked a busy road
For my song you couldn't decode
Ophelia won't come back alright
Skin, ink, bone and stone alight
Set me free from your siren song
Set me free 'til it is last dawn
