A/n: hey guys. I apologise this is short. Was just a fun idea I had, I welcome all feedback! Please enjoy :) ~Emily. Y/N - Your Name. Y/L/N - Your Last Name.
"You ready to lose, Y/L/N!" Jimmy yelled into my ear. "Pfft. Are YOU ready to lose Fallon?" I grinned back. Yep, it was our notorious event of a game night at Jimmy's apartment. We arrange this for every weekend. We will play Xbox, PlayStation, Wii, PC games and all that. For this evening though, we decided on Mario Kart. It was my idea completely, mainly because it's entertaining to watch Jimmy become annoyed when he's losing, he's a very competitive person and hates losing.
I had just gotten out of a 4 year really bad relationship, and Jimmy is my rock right now and helping me through it. Jimmy and I have been good and close friends for a very long time now. We've been through a lot together, I see him as the brother I never had. I just have 1 older sister who I don't speak to. We grew distant when she married a very rich guy. Jimmy had been there for me to cry on his shoulder, hold my hair back and rub my back when I got sick with the flu, and I had been there for him when he was and is having marital problems with Nancy. This is why we decided to do this gaming every weekend, since we are both gamers, this was a perfect way to relieve some stress.
Jimmy had made us a hot chocolate each, "Here, thought you could use this when you're crying because you lost to me!" he said as he placed my cup down on the table next to the couch. I shot him a look and chuckled. I've never met anyone who is so competitive. But it's still fun and I still love our game nights.
"I am so ready to win!" I shouted, followed by having an elbow in my side from Jimmy at comment. "Oh hell no bro! You're going down!!!" he yelled even louder. There really was no point trying to win this argument! He's a very quick thinker and makes faster remarks than anyone I've ever known.
We played a few laps on Mario Kart, to which Jimmy did win. Mainly because he partially covered my eyes when I took lead or started to tickle my ribs. "That's what I'm talking about!!!" he stood up to do a victory dance, "did you see me win?" continuing his dance. "Eh but I let you win!" I joked. I so could have beat him, but that would offend his ego of being beaten by a girl! We both ended up laughing for 5 minutes.
I looked at my phone and saw it was near 3am. "Jimmy I should get home, have you seen the time?" I said as I held my phone up so he could read the clock. "Why don't you stay? I mean I have a guest bedroom anyway and you practically live with me anyway!" he chuckled. It was true, since both our relationships were going bad I had stayed over in the guest bedroom a few times. I blushed at these thoughts, I actually didn't realize I had been staying so often. "But I really love your company anyway. You would make an awesome roommate. And it beats being alone" he smiled as he looked down to the floor. "If you're sure, I don't mind staying the night.." I really did enjoy his company. He was a really funny and lovely guy. Jimmy just chuckled and continued, "of course I don't mind! You're my best pal. And besides. It's a Game Night!" he said as he stood up to change the console over to Xbox. Getting ready to play, Tennis and Call of Duty. This was going to be an epic night!
