Deidara POV

I stared at my sketchbook and let out a heavy sigh. Ever since I joined the Akatsuki, my work as an artist has slowed down considerably. Lately, I haven't been able to finish any new projects because there was something in the back of my mind that was bothering me. But I didn't know what exactly was bothering me...

I doodled idly and ended up with a simple sketch of a puppet. "It looks like something Sasori no Danna would design..." I mumbled to myself.

A knock came through the door and I looked up. Before I could answer, the said redhead had already entered the room.

"Hey, when'd I give you the permission to enter?" I frowned, although I was glad about his presence (why am I glad?).

"I don't need approval from you, brat." He strolled over to the desk where I was situated and peered at my work. "Explosives as usual, eh? Can't believe you call that stuff art..."

His dreamy brown eyes scanned the page and they came to an abrupt stop at the end of the paper. "What're you doing, un?!"

I flung myself onto the desk and covered the book. "Can't I appreciate your art once in a while?" Sasori's monotonous voice answered as he crossed his arms gracefully across his chest.

I glanced up at my danna with my mouth wide open. "Enjoy.... my... art...?"

I laid on the table like an idiot with a loss for words. "Did I hear wrong?" I thought to myself. "No... I'm sure he said it... And he didn't call me a brat. What's going on?"

Blinking, I regained my posture and decided to teach Sasori a few things about my art. "Hmph. So now you recognize the fleeting beauty of my art. The sublime greatness of an explosion is like no other. It's boldness lasting but for a mere sec-"

"I wasn't talking about your bombs, baka." Sasori stared at me blankly, the annoyance dripping from his voice.

"So he still doesn't like my art, hm."

My pride deflated and I sunk onto the chair. "Then what is art, hm, Danna?"

"That," he said simply, pointing to the corner of the page. I flattened out the corner which was slightly wrinkled due to my outburst a while earlier. My eyes widened in realization.

"Ah, that..."

I looked at my sketch and couldn't help but blush. The little puppet I had drawn greatly resembled Sasori; from the disheveled red hair to his blank stare. It was definitely a piece of art. "Wait a minute..." I thought to myself. "Why did I draw Danna?! And more importantly, did I just call him a work of art?!"

Cringing at myself, I played with the sleeve of my cloak. "Ah... So, Danna.... Why did you come here in the first place?"

"Oh. Right. I came here wanting to ask you something."
