"You guys are late." My dad says, giving us a glare.
"Sorry, dad. I met someone on the beach earlier and I saw him again on our walk and we just lost track of time."
"Him?"
"Yeah he's pretty cool. He was with his brother and he said he knew grandma? Anyways, we were making plans for tomorrow. They want to take us surfing, can we go?"
"Mom!" My dad yells for my grandma.
"What?" She says, entering the room.
"The girls met some boys, and they claim to know you. They want to take the girls surfing but I don't know them." I roll my eyes.
"Seriously? What's gonna happen? They're our age, its not like they're 20 years older than us!"
"What are their names, sweetie?" My grandmas asks me.
"Oh, Keaton and Wes."
"Oh yes! Wes watched Lilly for me when I go away! Both very nice boys, invite them over after you go with them tomorrow!" My grandma smiles.
"Okay, I will."
"Um, hello? I didn't say yes yet." My dad interrupts.
"No you didn't. But son, they're going." My grandma says. I raise my eyebrow.
"But she's my kid, and besides Kate doesn't even look like she wants to go!" My dad argues. I laugh and Kate does a light chuckle.
"Sorry to interrupt, but I do want to go.." Kate says.
"See! And remember you're my kid, and they are going. They need to have fun and try new things! End of discussion." My grandma leaves the room.
"Wow, dad. You just got told by grandma." I laugh.
"Shut up, Sam." He scoffs, and gets up to go into the kitchen.
The rest of the night we just chill out and watch movies.
