***Sam's POV***

"You're kidding right?" I ask

"Happy sweet 16, honey." My mom says.

I look down at the plane ticket, and instantly smile. I can't believe I'm actually going to LA, I've been dreaming of going there for as long as I can remember.

"Oh my god, Brent! Move over!"I scream at my little brother.

"Oh my god, Sam! Don't tell me what to do!"

"You little shit!"

"Hey, don't say that Sam." My dad says, giving me 'the look'.

I groan and roll my eyes.

We pull up to the airport, and get everything ready and go inside.

"Oh boy." Brent says as he sighs.

"What?" I ask my 14 year old brother.

"I may or may not have forgot my luggage at home..."

"BRENT ROBERT!" My mom shrieks. The airport is an hour drive from our house, if we had to go back we'd miss our flight.

"Chill mom. I'm just kidding it's right here." He says smirking and grabbing the suit case from the bench beside us.

"Oh, it's already 2:10! We have to go!" My dad yells, and takes off running through the airport. We follow him, trying to find the right gate. We find it quickly, and go through baggage check and all that fun stuff. Finally we can board the plane, and shockingly, we're the first ones on the plane.

"Oh, here Sam. This is your seat." My mom says as I sit, expecting my family to follow me into the row.

"Hah! Sam has to sit by herself!" Brent laughs.

"Wait what?" I ask, confused.

"Oh yeah, about that.. we couldn't get 4 seats altogether, and the airline decided that you would be the one to sit alone. Sorry, hun. We'll only be a few rows back." My dad says trying to make me feel better.

I watch as they take their seats.

A few rows my ass.

I sigh and put on my headphones, hoping to speed this 3 hour flight. I'm looking out the window when I feel someone sit next to me.

Please don't be an old crabby guy.

I turn to my head to see the stranger I get to spend the next 3 hours with.

"Kate?!" I scream. Kate is my best friend, and she's supposed to be in Ohio. "What are you doing here?!"

"Suprise!" She says. I turn back and look at my parents and they're smiling at me. I mouth a thank you to them and turn back to Kate.

"How?" I ask

"Your parents asked if I wanted to come, because spending time with your family with no me would be totes boring." She laughs.

"Very true." Before we know it, the plane is soaring through the air. Next stop, Los Angeles.
